FOX Global Security is seeking an Associate Director, Security Support Services. The Associate Director will be responsible for the tracking, management, reporting, and dissemination of updates for existing and new department-shared service Tier 1 projects. This position will be the lead for reviewing and drafting Corporate Security, Event, and Production security policies & procedures in conjunction with the department’s senior management. The ideal candidate will act as project manager for the ongoing redesign and development of online tools for each phase of the Operations and Event cycle. This position will work closely with the Event Lead Executives to ensure the proper planning documentation is in place for each project and public event. You will be an integral part of the broader FOX Global Security team. You will leverage your experience, organization skills, and project management to serve as the conduit between the Department’s operations, special events and production security team, and all project stakeholders.

  • Improve the department’s workflow for events through the design, creation, and implementation of technology-based solutions, data collection, and protocols
  • Manage projects of high importance and strategic value, provide ongoing status updates, and track work progress.
  • Working closely with the Vice President for Special Events & Production you will be responsible for event logistics, contingency planning, and incident management procedures, for all FOX Entertainment unscripted and scripted productions as well as FOX Sports live events (FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, UEFA, NFL, CFB, MLS, USFL, MLB, etc.)
  • Work hand-in-hand with the FOX Operations, GSOC, Security Systems group, EHS, and the Intelligence team for all FOX productions and special events, to ensure all requirements are defined and executed throughout the project period
  • Partner with Security Finance to improve and manage the invoicing process and payment to vendors, pre-event budget forecasting, and post-event wrap-up to our Fox business partners
  • Collect and analyze Special Event & Production security metrics that demonstrate the group’s impact and value to the business
  • Collaborate with other FOX security teams (TV Stations, New York 1211 Team, News Corp) to determine appropriate security procedures, staffing, and resources and monitoring are in place and coordinated for all co-events, productions, projects, and Field Operations
  • Implement and maintain contingency security programs at FOX Events and temporary location productions for all supported Fox business units
  • Participate in actively planning the Global Security Department’s special projects, large productions, and marquee events, both domestically and abroad, as needed
  • Manage and develop those department staff, contracted specialists, vendor event personnel, and shared services work teams, assigned to you to support productions and special events
  • Additional responsibilities as required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a field related to security, technology, and/or project management and at least 5+ years of experience in an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the media/entertainment industry: live broadcast, television, sports, news, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong project management and analytical skills
  • True expert skillset with full suite of Microsoft Office products including Adobe Acrobat Pro, Smartsheet, Desktop Publishing Software, and Project management solutions; Monday.com, Trello, Basecamp, etc.
  • Quick to learn and administer security software systems; familiarity with incident management tools, and mass communications systems.
  • Effective writing and oral communication skills and the ability to present briefings to a variety of audiences including executives, talent, clients, and employees
  • Ability to work independently in a dispersed virtual team structure
  • Capture metrics and statistics for all productions and ensure an after action is conducted to improve future security support
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule and travel, sometimes on short notice including weekends and holidays supporting sports productions, both remotely and on-site

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Bachelor’s degree desirable in a field related to business administration, economics, or international relations and/or 5+ years of corporate security experience working in a major media company or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Professional Security Certifications with ASIS (CPP), OSAC
