The Executive Vice President, IS Delivery – Region is responsible for directing day-to-day operations of all projects in a given region, implementing plans and policies to achieve the overall IS Delivery Division objectives, and maximizing operating results for Bernhard.
- Reports directly to the President, IS Delivery and ensures all corporate objectives as delivered by the President, IS Delivery are communicated and Implemented on all teams and projects in the Region.
- Develops and implements plans to monitor and achieve overall Project objectives – Safety, Outcome, Schedule and Cost.
- Oversees the implementation of all Divisional strategic and operational strategies to improve the organization’s depth of talent and create a unified, professional, and accountable organization.
- Coordinates with the President, IS Delivery and provides suggestions and feedback to ensure policies, procedures and culture are consistent across all Regions.
- Accountable for establishing and meeting the annual operating budgets for the IS Delivery projects in their Region.
- Accountable for meeting, or exceeding, the financial expectations, budgets, and goals for Projects in the Region; including preparing and maintaining budgets, reviewing and approving all Project set-ups; monitoring and reviewing all Project outcomes; maintain a positive cash position in the Region; and ensuring timely Project Closeout.
- Support development of major estimates with IS Delivery Pre-Construction and Vice Presidents, representing IS Delivery in negotiating the scope of contracts with Owner and leads development of Contract Documents to further Bernhard objectives.
- Ensures all Integrated Project meetings are scheduled, held and captured for use throughout each Project.
- Initiates productivity improvements throughout Region to ensure that the Delivery objectives (Safety, Outcome, Schedule, and Cost), the company’s standards and the project requirements are met.
- Ensures Client satisfaction by maintaining business relationships for all Projects.
- Manages Contractor, Subcontractor and Vendor relationships throughout the Region.
- Oversees and guides decision making on Risk Management and Project Issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Accountable for, and serves as a role model for, building and promoting a company culture of safety, innovation, teamwork, ethics, trust, and inclusion.
- Oversees and monitors all assigned Division shared services resources to ensure attainment of IS Delivery objectives.
- Provides advice, guidance, and direction for leadership and talent development within the Region including a focus on maintaining, thorough communications, delegation of responsibility and delegation of authority. Success is measured through the development of competent leadership and management teams.
- Reviews and approves forecasts for the IS projects in the Region.
- Monitors Region project cash positions to ensure accurate and timely billings and
- Maintains consistency and continuity in IS project execution by providing input into Project Team processes within the Region.
- Establishes and oversees timeliness of project visits, project reviews, accuracy of status report forecasting, billings & cash position of each project.
- Directs and oversees personnel recruiting and development, project assignments, placement and career advancement decisions, in conjunction with the VPs, and routinely provides decisions for approval and coordination with the President, IS Delivery.
- Performs additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the company or as directed by the President, IS
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience managing portfolio of projects in excess of $250M/year.
- Experience with energy commercial construction projects with an emphasis on MEPF and Renewable Energy infrastructure in the Higher Education and Medical Markets.
- Strong accounting background with P&L experience.
- Heavy MEP knowledge is desired.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
