We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Shared Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape our shared services functions, ensuring seamless and efficient support across various departments within the organization.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize shared services operations in areas such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Champion technology initiatives that impact the AR and AP functions such as the customer payment (e.g., credit card, e-check, ACH) provider rollout, CRM to ERP integration, and Procure-to-Pay systems implementation. Assist in the discovery, design, and build of future state processes.
- Develop and execute a plan to centralize the AP function which includes onboarding new vendors, posting AP bills, processing vendor payments and employee expense reimbursements, review and posting of corporate card statement reconciliations, maintaining the vendor master list and implementing proper controls
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Responsible for the AR bad debt allowance. Drive monthly customer collection meetings with each Division. Prepare an account roll-forward on a quarterly basis. Present the underlying analysis focused primarily on the business reason each account requires a reserve and the health of the overall receivable portfolio.
- Maintain the integrity of the AR and AP subledgers and clearing accounts. Complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with the monthly close calendar. Partner with Power BI team to publish monthly AR and AP subledger stats and activity.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in shared services functions.
- Develop and manage the shared services budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Leverage technology and automation tools to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the shared services department.
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, Finance or related discipline is required.
· A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.
· A minimum of 5 years of people management experience is required.
· Excellent knowledge and deep experience across Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay business processes and associated connections with Finance.
· Hands on, results-oriented and pragmatic leader with highly developed problem-solving skills
