Establishes the unambiguous definition and use of data throughout a business domain. Adhering to a prescribed data architecture forces business and technology to take the vital steps to define and document data meaning, define the appropriate use of the data, and to ensure that accurate governance is in place to manage data as meaning on a balanced basis.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the creation of the data strategy in close collaboration with Enterprise Data Owners & Enterprise Data Architects.
- Identification of function specific data, by:
- Defining the logical data domains within a function.
- Mapping of physical data repositories to the logical data domains.
- Cataloging the physical data in the repositories.
- Creation of logical data models based on business requirements.
- Define function specific data, by:
- Defining and documenting the conceptual and logical models.
- Establishing the business process definitions of the data.
- Use of taxonomies to establish relationships between the data.
- Contribute to the creation and documenting of Enterprise conceptual and logical models.
- Ensure solutions are aligned and documented according Novartis data architecture principles.
- Collaborate closely with domain- and solution-architects to design solution-architectures that comply to all Novartis standards.
- Define and Track Key Performance Measure related to data architecture deliverables. Define and maintain data landscape/data-flow for the respective domain.
- Experience in building data landscape and data flow.
- Experienced in conceptual and logical data modelling and data normalization.
- Experience with data governance and change management processes.
- Knowledge and experience of implementing and working with metadata technologies
- Overall work experience of about 10 years, ideally at multi-national organizations, in-depth specialized expertise in data governance and data architecture.
- Experienced working with Data Governance Frameworks like DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK. etc.
- Data Management and Analytics Certifications
