This role will focus on assuming leadership of the Auxis Finance Transformation Practice including driving business development opportunities with Fortune 1000 and middle-market organizations (i.e. Companies with Annual Revenue over $500MM). Will support the budgeting & management of the P&L for the F&A Consulting practice. This position will report into the Managing Director, Management Consulting.

Practice Leadership

  • Responsible for creating a growth-oriented business strategy and plan for F&A Consulting services, including budgeting, forecasting, marketing, prospecting, sales, client contact, customer relations, and quality of delivery of services
  • Lead service delivery for Auxis’ management consulting practice; specifically focused on F&A optimization and transformation projects
  • Perform executive project management, risk management and direct project delivery to ensure client satisfaction and contractual deliverables. This will include, but not limited to:
  • Defining appropriate solutions
  • Overseeing project delivery
  • Managing staff utilization and railroad
  • Identifying required staff
  • Delivering billable work
  • Managing project finances and administration
  • Assist in the development of practice methodologies, tools and deliverables that represent high value-add repeatable solutions resulting in annuity business
  • Manage, mentor and recommend appropriate training for assigned professionals.
  • Provide leadership in the development of F&A professionals to identify, develop and deliver strategic solutions to clients.

Business Development/Account Management

  • Support the GtM business development and marketing efforts for F&A optimization and transformation
  • Develop and maintain high level executive relationships with true decision makers, key officers & directors at assigned existing client accounts and new prospective clients to facilitate recurring client revenues and referrals
  • Become the ‘trusted advisor’ for existing and future key accounts by establishing strong and long-lasting relationships with client executives and management teams
  • Work with and meet qualified prospective clients at a volume that will support the establishment of Auxis’ market presence in providing F&A Optimization and transformation solutions.
  • Conduct business reviews with prospective clients to understand and extract critical information regarding the client’s business, management and technology needs
  • Support the development of the appropriate level marketing and sales materials (e.g., brochures, website content, interest letters, industry trade journal/magazine articles, etc.)

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, able to work in a challenging environment and able to work well with clients and teammates in person and remotely. Specific requirements include:

Must Haves:

  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience with at least 5 years of professional services experience (preference is consulting but auditing experience would also count)
  • Minimum of at least 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have experience leading and supporting large highly visible finance transformation and performance improvement initiatives
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Shared Services and/or Business process outsourcing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, accounting, operations, industrial engineering, MIS, economics, applied math or statistics
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and strong knowledge of multiple ERP Systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience with Fortune 1000 companies, multinationals, and mid-sized companies
  • Ability to build relationships with senior level executives (VP level and Up) in a variety of business environments, including large corporate and upper middle market business sectors
  • Must have a demonstrated track record of solution selling. Focus is on ability to craft client solutions and prepare and present client proposals. Experience managing a sales & delivery target

Preferred:

  • Master in Accounting or CPA strongly preferred
  • Functional knowledge and experience in the implementation of ERP systems and financial reporting infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of key technology enablers designed for backoffice productivity (RPA, Imaging Platforms, Workflow Tools, OCR, Task Managers, Reconciliation Platforms, etc)
  • Strong understanding and background in Consumer Goods Industry. This includes manufacturing, distribution and/or retail.
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Strong knowledge of Latin America accounting & business practices

  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to develop strong messaging is a critical success factor for this role.
  • Ability and comfort with overcoming objections. Should be able to exhibit an ability to acknowledge objections and be able to overcome then in a thoughtful manner.
