This is a unique opportunity to lead the Corporate Services branch in a role that informs organisational strategic direction and delivers fit-for-purpose operational excellence.
As a member of the Executive Leadership team you will have six direct reports and an overall team of 35 employees. Reporting into the Victorian Government Solicitor, you will drive the achievement of VGSO’s strategic objectives and bring innovative value-add to a highly successful client- focused professional services organisation that is experiencing demand-led growth.
The branch covers:
Business Support · Business Development and Marketing · Data Analytics · Finance · Information, Communication and Technology · Knowledge Management.
Your ability to drive shared business services excellence whilst overseeing corporate business planning, budget management, continuous improvement, capability building, knowledge management and performance improvement will embed you as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team. Your relationship building skills, personal agility, commitment to service excellence and corporate services subject matter expertise will be aligned to delivering pragmatic results.
Skills & Experience that will set you up for success, include:
- Values driven multi-functional leadership that promotes a positive workplace culture
- Innovative business and strategic planning
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills
- Strong facilitation, communication, and demonstrated stakeholder/ relationship management capability
- Experience gained in a professional services environment and/or government context including leading multi-functional teams are desirable.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Law, or Accounting / Finance, or relevant field. Post graduate qualifications are desirable.
