Oakleaf Partnership are proud to be partnering with this market leading food manufacturing business who are seeking a Head of People Services.

My client is on an exciting journey as they embark on a significant HR transformation, implementing a new operating model. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People Services to play a pivotal role in establishing and leading this function, supporting the team through a seamless transition. As the Head of People Services, you will lead the HR Operations and Payroll teams, shaping the future of shared services and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

– Design and implement the People Services function, centralizing key operational services such as onboarding, offboarding, employee administration, payroll preparation, compensation and benefits facilitation, reporting, and employee relations.
– Develop Workday specialist knowledge, implement People reporting with data insights, and enhance employee and manager self-service capabilities.
– Lead the People Services team, providing excellent customer service, professional advice, and expertise in HR operations, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
– Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and business leaders to ensure People Services aligns with business needs.
– Develop metrics and dashboards, reporting to the People Leadership Team and business stakeholders, identifying trends, and recommending improvements.
– Continuously review People policies, processes, and procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and future automation.
– Collaborate with HR teams across geographies, identifying improvement opportunities, and fostering an environment of learning and upskilling.

– Experience setting up shared services models is essential
– Significant knowledge of People processes, UK employment law, and best practices
– Minimum 5 years of people management experience
– Experience in Change Management and influencing senior stakeholders
– Expert communicator with high emotional intelligence
– Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
– Analytical thinker with the ability to offer data-driven solutions
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
– Fluent in English
