R2R activities

  • Oversees team responsible for R2R AR activities
  • Leads team while also supporting execution of R2R transactional accounting activities
  • Monitors and manages specific month-end, quarter-end, and year-end related activities per close timetable in collaboration with local markets and third-party service provider
  • Prepares sales / accounts receivables analysis and related journal entries to record period transactions (e.g., sales deferrals, sales returns)
  • Performs royalty calculations and prepares related entries
  • Reclasses sales discounts, price deferrals, and sales returns
  • Settles revenue, including booking of related journal entries
  • Ensures high quality and accuracy of work and service by R2R team through regular review, checks, and approval
  • Monitors and manages internal customer satisfaction levels, taking immediate action as appropriate
  • Manages period audits, management level reporting, and disaster recovery related activities
  • Manages ad-hoc projects initiated by R2R leadership

Relationship management and teaming

  • Serves as an inspirational and engaging leader who motivates and engages through clear articulation of R2R process-related priorities
  • Identifies and manages training and upskilling of local team members
  • Holds self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy

Risk management

  • Articulates material risks and opportunities and takes an active role in designing and executing response or contingency plans

Degree/Certification/Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting along with CA / CPA or equivalent qualification required.

Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years

  • A minimum of 7-9 years of experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in accounting leadership
  • Experience managing teams
  • Accounting experience within the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Track record of leading R2R teams preferred
