As the Financial Management Lead for Platform Services Financial Hub, you will be integral to our mission of delivering exceptional value and creating excellent customer experiences. You will be responsible for helping Financial Hub achieve value commitments through financial analysis, 3rd Party invoice management and benefits realization tracking. You will be utilizing value case creation, financial analysis, and other financial management tools to measure, monitor, and report Financial Hub financial positions with 3rd Party contracts, key transformation initiatives, and overarching team financial reporting.

Strategy and processes

Define and ensure the proper execution of financial management strategies for third parties, the Financial Hub Transformation team, and financial hub stakeholders. Construct accurate and timely reports on financial progress for initiatives and 3rd Party contracts, with a focus on identifying trends, variances to benefit expectations, and areas for improvement. Develop and manage financial hub business cases, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making processes, ensuring comprehensive visibility into key metrics. Establish and continuously evaluate existing Financial Management processes and identify opportunities for improvement, driving change where necessary. Verify that financial hub is meeting financial commitments through rigorous analysis and benefits realization tracking. Educate financial hub stakeholders and business customers (as needed) regarding financial management services and expectations agreed to with third parties. Work closely with the transformation team to track the benefits realization of key initiatives and the financial use/value cases used to determine initiative priority throughout the year.

Third-parties

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any financial issues or concerns that may arise during program delivery and adequately report status to resolution. Ensure effective relationships and governance between financial hub stakeholders, customers, and third parties by fostering open communication and accurate financial reporting and invoice management processes. Current spend under management is expected to be $60-80M. Oversee the quality of financial hub and third-party provided services by measuring, monitoring, and managing financial performance against the expected value case created at the time of contract execution.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Excellent academic background including a bachelor and/or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other appropriate academic major
  • At least 10 years of experience in vendor or shared services financial management, transformation management, or a similar role.
  • Have a solid understanding of end-to-end business processes as well as interlinkage with other finance processes and related risk controls
  • Have an understanding of the leading practices for effectively and efficiently tracking Financial/Value case benefits realization
  • Previous experience in managing the financial metrics for shared services, 3rd party relationships, and process improvement initiatives will be highly desirable
  • Previous experience leading and executing an effective and efficient 3rd Party invoice management process
  • Strong analytical skills that enable you to think out of the box and come with good ideas to address complex financial/value reporting and analysis questions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to explain specialized financial concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong stakeholder management, with the ability and proven track record of establishing successful relationships with third parties
  • Strong financial management and reporting skills with the ability to provide both executive level finance and benefits realization reporting as well as the detailed financial reporting needed to drive change.
