Experienced qualified Accountant required to help lead and to take responsibility for a part of client fees, overall management of the practice and improve profitability of the firm by growth in fees and cost savings.

Job Purpose: To review work compiled by the accounts team, to liaise with and to provide financial information to clients from the reports produced. To effectively manage in-house teams across all locations and a shared services team based in India. To assist with the growth of the practice through management of current clients and acquisition of new clients.

  • To be the point of contact for all client liaisons.
  • Complete client profile summary.
  • Meting clients to discuss their accounts and tax affairs.
  • Provide advisory services as appropriate.
  • Lead audits.
  • Manage personal tax staff.
  • Manage bookkeeping team and provide leadership as required.
  • Advise clients on areas of business improvement.
  • Negotiate the terms of business with clients as required.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Detect and prevent money laundering.

Account Management

  • To ensure accurate and timely billing and receipt.
    Ensure India team is on schedule with invoice raising and client fee payment.
  • Liaise directly with client when necessary.
  • Standardise and update client engagement letters.

Management

  • Weekly update with SKS by Skype, monthly meeting either in Richmond or RL offices in London.
  • Participate in regular appraisal of the staff.
  • As Company director, ensure regulatory, company law compliance. Ensure practice is not indulging in unethical activities.
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
  • Manage UK based accounting / tax/bookkeeping/ admin staff as required.
  • Manage the office (alongside senior staff as shown in the organisational chart), IT systems, security, as appropriate.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops- reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Business Development

  • Business Development – assist SKS Business Development Director as required to acquire new clients.
  • Meet prospective clients, discuss requirements, and create proposal (with assistance from Directors as required).
  • Extend the value chain by introducing new services to existing clients at all touch points.

Accounting, Tax, reporting skills, time management, ethics, supervision/management skills, Word/Excel, accounting, and tax packages. The individual should have attention to detail, deadline-oriented and keen on research. Practice expeirnce required.
