We are looking for a talented and adaptable finance professional to join the team at a pivotal time.
The Head of Financial Services Projects & Planning is a newly created role that is designed to be able to support on, and pivot between, a number of the team’s priorities. It requires a wide range of finance skills and experience, and the ability to quickly adapt these skills to new and changing demands. The role will be a vital support to the Financial Controller and the wider Finance Senior Leadership Team in delivering on the Financial Services team’s complex range of responsibilities. The right candidate will be able to add huge value to the team whilst enjoying a varied portfolio of work and gaining insight and perspective on a fascinating organisation.
- To help design, shape and provide ongoing contract management support for a range of shared services including procurement and transactional finance
- To play a leading role in the development and implementation of the forthcoming North West London shared finance system project and associated shared service centre
- To provide expert accounting advice in support of technical accounting queries and complex external audit queries when required
- To co-ordinate and develop the Financial Services’ team’s contribution to in-year forecasting and financial strategy in respect of the balance sheet, capital charges and cash
- To provide support on the development of revenue and capital business cases where require
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background including significant experience of working with external auditors, and will have experience of developing or managing transactional financial services including in a shared service environment. They will also bring experience of forecasting and financial planning in respect of the balance sheet and cash.
