Our publicly traded manufacturing client in the metro KC area currently seeks a Director of Shared Services to provide oversight for all transactional accounting activities across the business and lead a large, growing team.

• Provide leadership to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all AP, AR, and Billing functions
• Plan, organize, and define roles to ensure internal and external customer service expectations are met or exceeded
• Monitor and execute internal control procedures to ensure confidential records and company assets are adequately protected
• Identify and present solutions for continuous process improvement
• Foster teamwork and communication within and across organizational boundaries
• Provide business process support as requested to all companies serviced by the Shared Service Center
• Directly supervise department Supervisors and Leads and provide performance feedback and coaching to all team members

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance
• 5 years of experience in a Shared Service Center desired
• Knowledge of best practices around internal controls
• Proven track record in leading and motivating teams
• Strong team player with the ability to interact with all people in the organization and adhere to strict deadlines
• Strong organizational skills are a must
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft applications
