Lead the Procurement team by being responsible for the respective category team performance, people management and functional compliance while promoting a ‘one team’ spirit. Ensure category strategies are fully implemented and successfully executed in alignment with key stakeholders, business needs and budget objectives. Manage respective risks focusing on the extended agenda: price volatility, supplier stability, and product or service availability. Build and enhance strong stakeholder relationships with key regional stakeholders within the respective category across all Procurement activities.
- Implement the Procurement purpose, vision, strategies and governance.
- Represent the Procurement leadership team within the respective region
- Lead the Procurement team with a focus on definition and execution of regional functional and category goals
- Promote a ‘one team’ spirit to enable sharing of best practices and knowledge.
- Ensure employee engagement and well-beingMonitor adherence of the respective category team to define governance, policies, and processes.
- Protect all company assets by putting in place internal control system and procedures.
- Protect the reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation.
- Advocate and foster sustainable Procurement (incl. CSR) and procurement innovation strategies and projects.
- Ensure creation and implementation of regional category strategies.
- Deliver strategic sourcing plans to maximize the value for the business
- Define management and tracking of respective category plans and budgets including objectives, key value drivers and related KPI’s
- Manage respective risks focusing on the extended agenda: price volatility, supplier stability, and product or service availability
- Develop and maintain strong partnership with key regional suppliers within the respective category including performance and quality assurance
- Build and enhance strong stakeholder relationships with key regional stakeholders within the respective category across all Procurement activities
- Represent Procurement in relevant committees and governance bodies
- If applicable manage the respective Procurement cost centre, perform cost control activities, analyze cost effectiveness and define saving opportunities with the aim to ensure appropriate cost-performance-ratio and financial well-being of the function
- Contribute to Procurement operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks.
- University degree, preferably in Business related field (Master degree preferred)
- Proficiency in English (for Japan local language is a must)
- 10+ years of professional experience, 5+ years of which in Procurement
- International experience from a multinational company
- In the case of AEI position – above market role experience – accountability for delivering outcomes to/in different countries
- 5+ years of proven managerial experience
- Advanced MS office skills
- Procurement platform/-s experience
