Quality, efficiency, and safety all play a big role in our work at Danone. Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for the Supply Chain team. We are currently looking to hire a Director, Operations Strategy based in Broomfield, CO or White Plains, NY!
Director, Operations Strategy is a key position within our Fulfillment, Strategy & Transformation organization that will develop a new capability across our supply chain to synthesize strategy & performance, and drive discussion & decisions that advance our strategic ambitions. The Ops Strategy Director will support all operations sub-functions (including Cycles & Procurement) and work closely with the Ops Chief of Staff & Strategy, the Chief Operating Officer, Ops Leadership Team members, enterprise strategy & business planning colleagues, other senior leaders, and global Danone stakeholders. This leader will be responsible for executive level framing of our strategic direction, performance, and challenges.
- Lead the supply chain’s functional strategic planning process guiding and working closely with all Operations leadership team members to ensure a holistic vision is represented
- Drive the agenda and planning to achieve key deliverables for the ops leadership team & COO in support of the Ops Chief of Staff & Strategy via close collaboration with the enterprise strategy & business planning team
- Establish best practices and maintain a pulse of key industry trends
- Preparing content for key internal and external meetings including quarterly performance reviews with senior Global executives
- Creating compelling, powerful presentations for a range of audiences
- Participating in performance cycle and partnering cross functionally to upgrade performance management from assumption to execution
- Facilitate the annual objectives setting process for the D2D organization and provide visibility to the organizations progress towards goals via a scorecard or other creative means
- Create a shared services mindset and team brand within Operations and across the enterprise
- Support other topics or activities as needed
- BSc or BA in supply chain management and/or business
- Master or advanced degree (sciences or business) preferred.
- 7-10 years of supply chain management for a global or multi-plant CPG/FMCG company
- Ability to operate independently with limited direction at any stage of the strategy or implementation process.
- Expertise in “connecting the dots” across multiple teams, business units, and needs that bridge global and local needs.
- Ability to “get to the answer” by identifying creative means of sourcing data and insights, driving rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses, and identifying cross-category themes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in developing presentations, action-oriented analysis, and materials for C-suite level board presentations.
- Experience in developing and implementing consensus driven strategic plans.
- Viewed as the trusted partner to executive stakeholders with proven effectiveness in influencing and building alignment.
- Ability to listen to others and link to others’ ideas, customer centric and solution oriented.
- Intellectual curiosity and courage to challenge status quo; always leading the mandate for continuous improvement.
- Inclination to be flexible and agile on a daily basis and also with the future evolution of this role as team and business needs may evolve.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-past, highly dynamic business environment with competing priorities, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Ability to make quick decisions and work under strict deadlines.
