Reporting directly to Masco’s Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Information Technology is responsible for planning and managing Masco’s Corporate Information Systems activity, including its systems and hardware infrastructure, networks to support data, LAN/WAN, web and voice requirements. This leader will also be responsible for defining and monitoring systems security, controls and standards and where required, application architecture design and support. He/she will partner with corporate functional counterparts to understand the objectives of each function and incorporate technology support as required. The incumbent will also oversee and continue to develop Masco’s enterprise-wide IT shared services.
- Create the overall information technology strategy, architecture and process improvements for the information technology in support of Masco’s Corporate functional activities and overall business needs
- Updates the Corporate functional leadership team on technical advancements and information services issues
- Plan and manage the entire sub-functions of the Corporate IT function (security, analytics, operations, communications)
- Plan and manage information technology vendor relations and contract negotiations for enterprise software, hardware, services and communications
- Manage department budget and optimize technology investments to provide the best support and service to Masco Corporate functional areas
- Facilitate and support IT shared services for Masco’s business units
- Support enterprise-wide functional initiatives involving information technology
- Participates as a member of Masco Corporation’s CIO Council which focuses on enterprise-wide IT strategy and issues
- Provide enterprise-wide IT governance, policy/guidelines and support
- Leads information systems security governance; including vulnerability assessment and awareness training
- IT risk management assessments; includes IT risk management projects
- Provide business unit IT leaders consultative support by:
- Participating on business unit ERP project advisory committees
- Supporting business unit large IT related projects and investments
- Effectively manage all elements of the Corporate IT budget
- Lead IT personnel and support staff and ensure the effective provision of technical support services to system users of PC’s, hardware and software. Attract, develop, and retain a diverse, high performing team
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of ten years of demonstrated success and progressive experience in managing key sub-functions of IT (infrastructure, applications, eBusiness, security and compliance) for a manufacturing or consumer product business
- Minimum of three years of direct leadership of IT infrastructure and operations for complex global organization
- In-depth knowledge and visionary experience with modern/emerging business technology
- Demonstrated thought leadership around IT solutions for business processes
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading a high performance IT workforce
