The Client is a well-known Insurance Brokerage firm that’s listed as one of the fastest growing organizations in the US with a growth rate of over 150% in the last few years. With a plan to more than double their top line, this brokerage firm is acquisitive in purchasing and integrating insurance agencies onto their platform. In line with supporting the future state of this organization, the client Group is seeking talented individuals to join their team to help support the expansion and build out of a Shared Services Center that will support their expansion plans.
Scope of Role
As the Client continues to acquire insurance agencies and integrate them onto their platform, they recognize the need for dedicated professionals to guide them in this transformational journey. The focus of this role is around the General Ledger in order to drive operational efficiencies and accurate financials.
- Responsible for achieving operational efficiencies, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining team development and learning needs.
- Accountability for successful reporting of accurate financials that are in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborates with process leads to ensure consistent processes are followed within each region.
- Lead field SSC General Ledger operations to ensure standard processes are followed, operational efficiencies are identified, and corporate targets and deadlines are being met.
- Track resourcing needs and partner with HR to ensure appropriate backfilling and training.
- Identify offices that are not following the standard processes.
- Develop all GL associates and identify and implement training as needed.
- Responsible for data integrity for field financials; focusing on each level of the balance sheets and income statements.
- Work with Onboarding team to oversee agency integration and data cleanup efforts.
- Continuously drive a firm-wide view versus a regional or agency focus
- Responsible for implementing a consistent standardized process defined by firm.
- Audit current process to ensure adhesion to current firm standards.
- Monthly and Quarterly review of profit center financials
- Develop and maintain performance metrics for objective.
- Liaison with the Operations
- 8+ years of experience in a Finance & Accounting Role, minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
- Insurance experience helpful, Insurance Agency experience with working knowledge of AMS 360 especially helpful
- Shared Services Center background with experience in developing and implementing global workflows.
- Candidates need to have a proven track record of utilizing technology to continuously improve efficiencies in financial processes.
