Proclinical are recruiting for a Head of Business Services to join a CRO. This role is on a permanent basis with the ability to work remotely from the UK with travel to Nottingham once a week.

  • Enable internal calls to shape submissions and get the correct information within a customer friendly form.
  • Guarantee all commercial and submissions sent are formally captured in the suitable customer folders and the CRM.
  • Collaborate with the operational divisions/other BD team members within the ‘fee for service’ areas to get tighter, faster scopes locked down with T&CS.
  • You will attend customer calls and meetings if suitable as the internal contact of business development.
  • Form, develop, and uphold positive business and customer relationships.
  • Assist any other BD team members by producing and contributing to meetings, presentations and submission process.
  • Manage the business services team, guaranteeing distribution of crucial actions are aligned with outlined SLAs and performance of the team to KPIs.
  • Offer creative, constant, precise and concise communications both internally and externally.
  • Other duties may be assigned to this role.
  • Demonstrable experience guiding contract and business service actions in the biotech/pharma, life sciences organisations.
  • Familiarity with integrated drug discovery, ideally within a CRO or industrial environment.
  • Educated to an advanced degree level or similar within a scientific or business discipline.
  • Prior involvement in a line management role, matrix management would be beneficial.
  • A high level of commercial awareness and deliberation abilities with the capacity to shape value propositions.
  • Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • A commercially agile individual with the capacity to adapt to changing market conditions swiftly and amend actions as suitable.
  • An organised individual with the ability to work within a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
  • A self-motivated and enthusiastic individual, with the ability to assume responsibility.
  • A high attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy.
