Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Director, Global Process Leader – Record to Report. This position will be based at our Beachwood, OH location.
The Director, Global Process Leader for the Record to Report (RTR) will be a part of the Global Finance Services and Solutions (GFSS) organization within the corporate finance function reporting directly to the VP of Finance Transformation – Controllership.
You will be responsible for leading processes, people and technology related to collecting, processing, and delivering information to understand financial and operational business performance. You will lead strategic and benchmarking activities with a goal of building a best-in-class organization and maintaining the highest levels of internal control and governance. In collaboration with senior leadership across the global enterprise you will be instrumental in driving successful business outcomes.
- Builds organizational capability across all shared service centers related to RTR space.
- Partner with the business leaders and regional controllership leaders to communicate the strategy, objectives, and to collect feedback on RTR performance.
- Ensures that global RTR processes are compliant with all Eaton Financial policies and meet all US GAAP and Statutory reporting requirements.
- Identifies opportunities to centralize and standardize work.
- Creates performance objectives and goals for the team to execute.
- Develops talent for organizational growth.
- Ensures processes are effective and applied consistently across the globe while still enabling region-based differences.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Minimum of 12 years professional experience working in finance related roles with ascending responsibility
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading accounting activities for a relevant business.
- Minimum 5 years of management of people experience
- Deep knowledge of financial and accounting systems and processes
- Experience delivering financial documents such as balance sheets, profit and loss and budgets reports to key stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements including internal controls and reporting skills
- Experience in cross functional project management
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA degree and/or CPA preferred
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Skills:
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This leader must be able to develop and/or evaluate a business case for change by analyzing, researching and leveraging benchmarking and best practices within the industry.
- Experience successfully collaborating and productively interacting with a wide variety of cultures including external providers is essential.
- This position will be responsible to report out to the senior levels of the company so a strong executive presence is required
