HR Director, Total Rewards, HR Systems, and Analytics will drive the overall strategies and processes for benefits design and delivery, compensation strategy, incentive design, executive compensation, and equity administration. This critical leadership role requires a deep understanding of compensation structures and benefits programs, as well as the ability to align these with the company’s strategic objectives. You will lead a small team of professionals that develop and execute our total rewards programs. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a track record of M&A activities, operational acumen, and excellence, building and developing high-performing teams and scalable programs that attract, retain, and motivate a talented workforce in a growth-oriented organization.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy that is aligned with the company’s business objectives, culture, and competitive market dynamics
- Lead a progressive approach to benefit, recognition, and wellness offerings to ensure a compelling employee value proposition, continuously evaluate and optimize benefit offerings
- Oversee and provide direction on payroll process and approach
- Oversee final stages of Workday implementation and adoption as Chord’s HRIS system, including development of Prism Analytics functionality and data dashboards to measure on-going performance against People KPIs
- Bring excellent acumen for assessing total rewards initiatives utilizing data analytics and metrics to make informed decisions, measure results, attract top talent, and drive positive impact in enhancing employee experience and engagement
- Bring experience in performing due diligence on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and impact on compensation and benefits resulting from other business transactions
- Apply thorough knowledge and direct experience with the development of competitive compensation and benefits programs, initiatives and best practices for merit and incentive pay administration/ planning, salary structure maintenance, salary survey participation, benefits package review and renewal, wellness/wellbeing and health, and employee recognition programs
- Implement and manage mobility programs, including relocation programs to support talent mobility and business expansion
- Manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive success, challenge status quo and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situations
- Responsible for the development, implementation and adoption of total reward programs, processes and strategies that attract, retain, and enhance the employee experience
- Develop and execute effective communication strategies to educate employees about their total rewards packages, ensuring they understand the value of their compensation and benefits.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across all business/functional areas
- Support creation of materials for Board of Directors Compensation and HR Committee
- Create and lead a shared services strategy involving our people support team
- Ensure that all total rewards programs comply with local labor laws, regulations (including regulatory filings) and stay abreast of new risks, and legislative changes
- Oversee relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers to optimize cost-effective delivery of benefits and compensation services
- Develop, plan, and manage department budgets
- 15+ years of experience in in Human Resources
- 7+ years of experience leading Total Rewards
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Experience designing, executing, and administering broad-based compensation, executive compensation, recognition, and equity programs
- Experience designing programs for diverse work groups including non-exempt, field-based, and corporate
- Experience with health, retirement, and wellness plan design and practice
- Experience working for a growth organization demonstrating adaptability and change management skills
- Ability to balance strategic and tactical work as needed with a hands-on pragmatic approach at issues
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to audit and interpret data and make sound decision
- Must have exceptional skills at prioritization, multi-tasking, unwavering integrity, and passion for ongoing process improvement
- Experience in M&A related activities and demonstrated high level of interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Ability to travel domestically
