We are looking for an innovative and results-oriented Vice President of Inside Sales to lead our 100+ person Inside Sales Team at WillScot Mobile Mini. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the lease and sale of turnkey office and storage space solutions (storage containers, ground-level offices, and modular space solutions etc.). Your focus will be on building and leading a world class inside sales organization, leveraging contemporary inside sales techniques, utilizing contemporary technologies, collaborating closely with Marketing / Outside Sales, streamlining inbound call routing, and implementing effective outbound prospecting strategies to maximize revenue growth
Sales Strategy Development
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking inside sales strategy that incorporates contemporary technologies to drive sales and leasing efforts.
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing team to align online and offline sales efforts seamlessly.
- Create and implement targeted outbound prospecting plans to identify and engage potential customers effectively.
- Provide support to outside sales teams (territory owners, product experts and account managers) to allow them to focus on their core responsibility by receiving and managing a large portion of the inbound call volume.
Technology Integration
- Identify and implement cutting-edge sales technologies and tools to streamline sales processes, enhance customer engagement, and improve sales team productivity.
- Leverage data analytics, customer insights, project databases, and target account lists to make data-driven decisions and continually refine sales strategies.
Inbound Call Routing Enhancement
- Optimize and modernize the inbound call routing system to ensure efficient and personalized customer experiences.
- Continue building new capabilities to support and align with our evolving omnichannel strategy.
- Implement AI-driven solutions for call routing, chatbots, and virtual assistants to improve customer service and sales support.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing inside sales team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide coaching and feedback to drive results.
- Proactively develop robust succession plans and territory coverage plans.
- Coach reps and managers on sales techniques and customer interaction best practices.
Sales Operations
- Oversee all aspects of inside sales operations, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including conversion rates and revenue growth, to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure the effective utilization of CRM systems and sales automation tools.
Customer Relationship Management
- Collaborate with the sales team to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Champion customer-centric approaches and ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product and service enhancements.
Revenue Growth
- Develop pricing strategies and sales campaigns to maximize revenue potential.
- Implement cross-selling and upselling strategies to capitalize on customer needs.
- Continuously evaluate market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Market Analysis
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging customer needs and competitive advantages.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven track record of successful sales leadership, revenue growth, and technology integration.
- Experience in a relevant Industry (e.g., equipment rentals, commercial real estate, facility & asset management, logistics, industrial and manufacturing or construction-related industry)
- Strong understanding of contemporary sales technologies, AI-driven solutions, and CRM systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel 20%-25% to four Shared Service Centers as well as for various leadership meetings.
