Daily Duties

  • Review the daily room rate variance and revenue adjustments.
  • Review package (breakfast or banquet) postings and adjustments.
  • Run analysis tools (e.g., IARA), review the trends, and identify outliers for further investigations.
  • Issue audit findings for discrepancies noted in periodic verification and analysis tool exceptions.
  • Verify accuracy, analyze daily food and beverage cost reports, and investigate variances.
  • Review recipe costing (with input from the hotel) and perform menu engineering.
  • Review open-key usage.
  • Review store (i.e., general, food & beverage) par level (only for hotels with stores).

Monthly Duties and Reporting

  • Prepare journal vouchers and statistical reports as required.
  • Independent review of month-end inventory results at stores and outlets (on a random basis) and reconciliation to both inventory management and accounting systems.
  • Verify accuracy, analyze monthly food and beverage cost reports, and investigate variances.
  • Prepare management and analysis reports for revenue and food and beverage costs.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Experience in income auditing and cost control is an advantage.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and is flexible and open-minded.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-driven, acts upon needs rather than upon requests.
  • While the above is our ideal list, we will consider candidates who do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.
