Join the Firm Strategy Shared Services organization where the direction of the firm is being defined. You will be a member of the Portfolio & Program Services (PPS) team within Shared Services as a portfolio analyst, using standard tools and processes combined with your experience to provide oversight and guidance to one or more portfolios or strategic programs. The PPS team is a small group who supports one another and has regular opportunities to engage and support senior leaders across the Firm Strategy organization.
- Stakeholder management to create efficiencies and influence positive portfolio/program outcomes
- Manage work intake and prioritization
- Ensure the work is represented and maintained in Clarity, Jira and/or Aha!
- Actively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and trade-offs
- Facilitate regular execution reviews and provide visibility of status to senior leaders
- Provide resource management support and associated Clarity tool support to portfolio/program leaders, including developing and delivering actionable resource-oriented insights
- Support adoption of firm-level tool enhancement roll-outs for Clarity, Jira, etc.
- Maintain understanding of methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, in order to assist with appropriate execution and resource management strategies
- Various portfolio/program-related administrative responsibilities (meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, developing agendas, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience working in a project environment, leading large projects as a portfolio manager, program manager, or project manager.
- Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Experience working with project management tools such as Clarity, Jira, or Aha!
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with organizational leaders.
- Strong ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks/projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to summarize complex information and concepts and communicate them clearly to different audiences.
- Works effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Possess a positive approach towards healthy team debate and flexibility to support decisions that may differ from the candidate’s recommendation.
