As a Controller at Vitales, a growing group of occupational health and safety services and reintegration / 2nd track and career coaching companies, you are the CEO’s right hand. From a finance point of view, you are one of the most important sparring partners for the various directors of the labels under Vitales. Vitales is a company that is constantly evolving, which ensures that you are part of new projects, so no day is the same. To help the organization grow further, both organically and through new acquisitions, Vitales is looking for an initiative-rich and connecting Controller who can think in a solution-oriented manner on strategic issues and knows how to properly set up a Finance department. A lot is currently outsourced to external parties, the goal for 2024 is to bring a lot of work in-house, and you can play a pioneering role in this!

As a Controller you work alternately at home and at the various offices of the labels. The dynamic cultures of the various labels are spread across Amsterdam, Deventer and Apeldoorn. Because all labels are in different locations but have a similar culture, an informal but professional working atmosphere is created. With two administrative employees who are committed to the labels, you form a team and together you are responsible for setting up a group-wide Finance department. In addition, as a Controller you contact the Private Equity company above Vitales to report and discuss the results of the organization.

In addition to setting up the overarching Finance department, this role offers the opportunity to think about process improvements. At Vitales you will be an important link between the strategy and the organization, so you will act as a point of contact for the directors of the labels, your financial colleagues and external parties. By being in direct contact with the various stakeholders, you will be able to actively think about process improvement, aiming for continuous professionalization and optimization. If you are assertive, enthusiastic and have strong communication skills, you can add enormous value as the new Controller of Vitalis and continue to challenge yourself.

  • You are responsible for optimizing management information and (non-)financial reporting to ensure quality and sustainable growth together with the group management;
  • Furthermore, you have a pioneering role in the integration and growth towards shared services movement for current, but also future labels;
  • In addition, as the CEO’s right hand / sparring partner, you are an important part of the leadership team within Vitales;
  • After the initial period of being more operationally responsible, you become increasingly involved in strategy development and improvement projects;
  • You are also continuously identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements;
  • Finally, you also have an important role in acquisition processes to ensure that proper integration takes place.
  • You have several years of experience as a Controller and are used to having an important position within an organization;
  • Previous experience with acquisitions or integrations of new companies is an advantage;
  • Excellent social and communication skills;
  • You are stress-resistant and not afraid to challenge your stakeholders on difficult topics and able to come up with solutions;
  • You take responsibility, are organized and can work independently;
  • As a person you fit well within the company if you are enterprising, energetic, hands-on and assertive.
