As the Director of Software Engineering Integra Partners, you will play a pivotal role in leading our dynamic software development team. We are seeking an experienced and innovative individual who can drive our engineering efforts, foster a culture of collaboration, and contribute to the growth and success of our technology initiatives.

Leadership:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the software engineering team.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Technical Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Drive innovation and technological advancements within the software development process.
  • Ensure the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and efficient development processes.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Team Development:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set development goals for team members.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to align software development with business objectives.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional issues to ensure smooth project delivery.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in software engineering. 10+ years people management experience building strong teams and managing managers. A passion for people management and mentorship. 10 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with including Angular, Java, Java Script, Golang, messaging protocols, and web services) and build processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Leading software development teams
  • Managing “up” within IT and the business
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Working knowledge of product development architecture
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to lead meetings and drive business outcomes
  • Understanding of design quality standards
