The Vice President of Content and Creative is responsible for bringing the R1 brand to life by overseeing all content and creative strategies from concept through execution. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing and Communications and collaborating with other marketing and business leaders, this role will lead and manage in-house and third-party content and creative teams to translate business objectives into appealing brand narratives for target audiences.

  • Set the content and creative direction for all marketing and branding initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall vision and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and execution of everything from large-scale, multi-channel campaigns to small, one-time projects.
  • Lead a team of content and design specialists who produce all copy, creative, online and offline brand assets to support commercial growth, talent acquisition and brand equity.
  • Manage the entire content creation lifecycle, including strategy, copywriting, creative, management, measurement, reporting and optimization.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including growth marketing, product marketing, internal and external communications, investor relations, regulatory, talent acquisition and human resources.
  • Implement an efficient brand governance process that facilitates the function as a shared-service resource rather than a bottleneck to bring our brand to life with consistency and creativity.
  • Evangelize content strategy best practices and facilitate content alignment and efficiency through a centralized and coordinated methodology for content lifecycle management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with at least 5 years of experience managing multi-channel content and creative production.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of content marketers, copywriters and designers.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills both in concept development as well as in a professional environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • A creative and innovative mindset; a go-getter attitude to take initiative and collaborate well with others.
  • Ability to be a “player-coach” – a strong creative leader to guide the work of the team but also can jump in and execute on projects that require a higher level of strategic thinking.
  • Skilled in the art of prioritizing and managing work and resources across to maintain maximum efficiency without sacrificing quality of storytelling.
  • Have a portfolio that showcases your understanding of B2B marketing strategy, brand strategy, design-thinking, campaign messaging, etc.
  • Previous experience with marketing project management, content management and design platforms
