The Information Technology (IT) organization is an enterprise shared service and supports all businesses and corporate functions globally, providing oversight and management for enterprise technology. This particular role will support the international businesses. The Senior IT Project Manager will be part of a global PMO with a core focus supporting the International Business Transformation Programme inclusive of a D365 implementation across multiple regions and departments within International.
During the Programme the Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for all projects relating to Customer Service and Market to Quote workstreams for D365 implementation but not be limited to this technology or workstream should other projects arise that are high priority or fringe technologies to sup-port the workstream. The Senior will have oversight of all projects in this workstream and regular touchpoints with the other Project Managers working within or cross functional with this workstream.
Beyond the Programme, the Senior Project Manager will support projects across various technologies and workstreams.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, suc-cess measures, and estimated resources needed.
- Ensures that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements.
- Creates, manages, and distributes project communications artifacts such as project kick-off slides, Design and Deploy gate slides, schedules, and budgets.
- Provides project status updates at predetermined time intervals to all stakeholders.
- Hosts and presents at Steerco Senior Exec level
- Communicates routinely to management, customers, project team members, and other stakeholders, actively soliciting and addressing customer and project team feedback.
- Sets and monitors project budgets and staffing requirements.
- Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project, including subcontractor monitoring.
- Develop project control and reporting procedures and manage changes in operational plan.
- Plans and leads status review meetings, which may include internal team members, vendors, and customers.
- Responsible for training, managing, and motivating the project team, as well as resolving team conflicts.
- Work with project stakeholders and project team members to effectively resolve technical and operational issues as required.
- Identify and look for ways to mitigate resource constraints and other risks associated with the project timeline.
- Manage the status of Development and Testing resources for the project. Work with Production Control to ensure a successful deployment of all software and hardware specified by the project.
- Review project deliverables, and pull in subject matter experts to address issues, as needed.
- Coach and mentor Project Managers and support escalations/ roadblocks as appropriate.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent
Experience (EMEAA):
- 5 or more years direct work experience in an IT project management capacity.
- Experience developing and deploying project best practices, policies, procedures and processes.
- Extensive understanding of IT concepts and terminology.
- Strong organizational skills, with proven experience prioritizing work and coordinating several pro-jects at one time.
- Soft skills to include proactive, future-thinking, strategic, accountable, collaborative, manages ambiguity, strong planning & prioritization experience.
- Ability to effectively interface with technical (IT) groups as well as business teams, both in person and remotely.
- Negotiation and escalation techniques as appropriate.
- Demonstrated skills in fact-based analysis, presentation, and interpersonal interaction.
