Are you passionate about Intercompany Finance and Process Excellence? Then this is the role you should apply! Global Process Owner (GPO) – InterCo role is to design effective and efficient intercompany processes, managing deviations and alignment within the other members of the GPO team to ensure “one finance” process approach. The key expectation from the role is continuous striving for process simplification, through process standardization and automation bringing to bear the state-of- art technologies and innovations (AI, BOT, BPM, SaaS Solutions etc.). The role is expected to design and implement a roadmap to take the organization from the current state to the desired future state and thus, the GPO role will partner with other service line GPOs, Finance leaders, IC Service Lead, CI regional/global lead and Continuous Improvement teams. The incumbent is a key member of Intercompany service line governance and define and supervise the efficiency through process excellence.

  • Responsible for consistent adoption of optimized processes, implemented across the entities/regions for intercompany operations
  • Leading continuously improving process efficiency, promoting standard methodologies and performance demeanor, fostering user experience and enhancing compliance
  • Driving value stream mapping for the processes and change management for strategic changes improvements
  • Leading automation of ICO activities by demonstrating on new technologies and tools
  • Leading the improvements targeting the efficiencies and effective processes. Continuously reviewing the process performance and suggesting further improvement for efficiency or quality of the deliverables. Managing the continuous improvement projects (strategic / non strategic) and deliver to the efficiency targets.
  • Expected to build a very strong and efficient relationship through effective communication with process partners, cross functional GPOs, CI leaders. Lead external benchmarking activities and continuous assessment of global processes to “best in class”
  • Design, maintain and improve standard processes in collaboration with Continuous Improvement Leads (process, rules, RACI, internal control, etc). Ensure documentation of process in line with Global Standard Operating Procedures and maintain and supervise the changes
  • Define change in policies and procedures supporting optimized processes and collaborate with IT team aligning the IC tools and technologies to the ERP implementation. Drive Innovation to ensure that the end-to-end process is “future proof” through continuous monitoring the global process changes, new ideas and new solutions.
  • Continually assessing external and internal benchmark and standard process trends, identifying areas of opportunities and surfacing standard methodologies for Intercompany. Look at new technology opportunities like RPA, AI, and others to ensure S+N stays on the forefront of automation.
  • Select and implement relevant technology, increasing automation of activities or improving process outcomes in line with the ERP roadmap of the organization. Build and maintain cross functional team member relationships across all geographies and drive standardization of processes
  • Alignment and proactively managing the expectations and relationships. Ensure strong relationships within the matrix organization (Regional Heads, Global Service, Delivery leads, Site leads etc) through both solid governance, as well as informal and formal networking
  • Ensure Internal control and compliance are embedded within process designs in compliance with SN global finance manual, SN policies and in line with IFRS/US GAAP. Realign standard process development with key partners both internal and external including Finance & Supply Chain functions.
  • Establishing clear as-is understanding (issues and challenges). Partnering with business and operational teams to understand the issues and challenges with the current state and define and complete the roadmap to transition to the desired future state.
  • As the inter-company Global Process Owner, the position will be key partner in ERP implementation driving the standardized approach for inter-company processes evaluating the tools and technologies aligning to the ERP across the world. Also the role will be accountable to the business for the definition and operational effectiveness ensuring the process within scope is designed to ultimately drive business benefit and to make it easier for employees using the process.
  • Graduate or Post Graduate with Finance & Accounting education. Accounting certification CA ICWA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Min of 10+ years of demonstrated experience of general accounting or finance experience in corporate finance, shared services, including financial reporting experience core focus on Intercompany Finance or R2R / RTR Finance Processes.
  • Certification in PMP / Prince 2, Black belt/Green Belt- Six Sigma, preferred
  • Hands on experience with SAP, SAP Hana /Oracle and sound knowledge related to Intercompany Finance process tools viz, Blackline, Trintech or such other tools!
  • Prior experience in Finance Transformation, optimization, standardization, preferred.
  • Sound overview of E2E operational and financial controls, business processes and reporting.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Finance process ownership, improvement and optimization, standardization, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a matrix organization working with cross-functional leaders / collaborators!
  • Experience of continual operational improvement and conceptual clarity of CI tools.
  • Six sigma black belt certification (added advantage)
  • Ability to influence and make an impact on decision making while working with senior leadership team.
  • Great teammate with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and influence team members and wider partners. Outstanding strategic and process orientation skills including flair of attention to details.
  • Excellent knowledge of intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, reporting and policies & procedures. Ability to think strategically and drive continuous improvement using existing and acquired knowledge/experience
  • Ability to work independently across multiple initiatives simultaneously and process sophisticated data to generate relevant insight. Ability to continuously learn and acquire knowledge through external benchmarking and studies.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skill.
