C.H. Robinson is seeking an experienced Senior Manager in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to drive strategic and financial leadership within our organization. This pivotal role involves offering essential decision support to senior management across Shared Services, encompassing pivotal aspects like long-range plans, budgets, forecasts, and strategic business initiatives.
As the Senior Manager, you’ll oversee and execute comprehensive strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, playing a crucial role in coaching, and nurturing our internal team members. Your primary interaction will be with internal stakeholders and business leaders, contributing significantly to the Enterprise’s value generation. Your mandate includes propelling continual improvement within the FP&A function by implementing best practices and driving process enhancements.

- Lead global strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting processes in partnership with business leaders, aligning budgets and forecasts with Enterprise goals
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to uncover trends, offering insights into financial outcome variances
- Develop actionable financial insights to drive awareness and recommend impactful actions
- Deepen understanding of incentive compensation programs for target setting and forecasting
- Enhance shared service cost allocation methodologies based on cost and benefit drivers
- Oversee the implementation of new reports and analytical tools for informed decision-making
- Collaborate with Technology teams for successful implementation and support of reporting tools
- Stay updated on industry best practices, sharing expertise as an FP&A subject matter expert
- Manage FP&A projects effectively to achieve organizational goals
- Cultivate a high performing team through coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and development
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to establish a pipeline, recruit, select, and onboard qualified and diverse talent
- Manage annual merit and equity programs for assigned team to align compensation with performance results
- Align team performance to CHR’s strategic objectives and cascades communication on office, divisional and organizational initiatives to ensure employee’s understanding and alignment
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or college.
- Minimum 10 years professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or other roles in Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading and managing team(s).
Ability to travel up to 15% per year.
Preferred:
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
- Advanced knowledge and experience with finance technology, financial reporting tools, and ERP systems– i.e. Oracle, Essbase.
- Mastery in data analytics, financial analysis, and accounting methodologies.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma tools, and methodologies to streamline processes.
- Proven track record in analyzing capital investment opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; strong track record building and developing consultative and influential relationships.
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholder groups at all levels; able to navigate complex and competing interests of multiple stakeholders.
- Proven people leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
- Strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to business challenges
- Profound expertise in interpreting complex financial data and extracting actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate and execute complex project work and responsibilities.
- Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization.
