In this vital role you will play a key role in the delivery of Amgen’s global Procure to Pay (P2P) process. Amgen operates in more than 100 countries and this individual will ensure global consistency in P2P operations and quality of service. You will understand and drive compliance with local requirements. The Global Service Owner will manage a team of four Regional Service Owners to partner with functional leadership and super users.

This role will report to the Head of Global P2P and serve as part of the Leadership Team to drive goals against annual targets and progress the long-term roadmap.

• Be responsible for global service delivery to internal and external customers and partners across the P2P process
• Partner with functional leads and super users to gather business requirements and priorities
• Drive client happiness through identifying and implementing continuous improvement and benefit opportunities
• Manage issues and drive customer concerns to an accurate resolution; Partner with the P2P Operations team to develop interim and more permanent solutions, as needed.
• Support and lead projects to drive improvements across the P2P process while engaging the right collaborators to help drive successful delivery
• Understand the change impacts to the region’s end users of all changes across P2P (Process & Technology) in order to develop and complete an effective change management plan
• Support Regional Service Owners on the delivery of all communications to the Region and setting strategy for end user engagement
• Partner with P2P functional leads to deliver on global improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance to policies, regulations and laws within the P2P process. Maintain a roadmap and drive initiatives to stay in compliance with the evolving eInvoicing / eTax landscape
• Work closely with our 3rd party service provider to ensure value extraction from their service offerings and drive efficiency

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience OR
• Master’s degree and 6 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience OR
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience OR
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability in Source to Pay processes
• Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience
• Experience in leading customers through change management
• Experience in preparing executive communication to include written and oral presentations
• Demonstrated experience in process and service management
• Excellent data-driven problem solving and analytical skills. Having the ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, with a pragmatic problem solving approach, and manage delivery
• Ability to influence at all levels with a customer facing attitude
• Ability to take initiative and work within a dynamic environment
• Ability to think strategically
