A thrilling Senior Manager, Financial Accounting job has just become available at a leading multinational technology company based in Batu Kawan. In this role, you are responsible for growing and developing corporate and international finance functions for the company.
About the Senior Manager, Financial Accounting Role:
In this role, you need to deliver a professional and consistent service to drive process improvement, automation and standardisation at a global shared service level.
- Direct the planning, operations, and administration of in-scope corporate and international accounting functions into the shared service environment
- Oversee the transition of accounting roles mainly general accounting filled in Penang and integrate into the team structure
- Be responsible for the timely and accurate monthly close processes for global entities in accordance with US GAAP while ensuring proper maintenance of statutory financials
- Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable international and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
- Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation, and providing recommendations, as appropriate
- Benchmark processes against best-in-class entities and drive process improvement for shared services
- Proactively engage with stakeholders to resolve challenges and recommend solutions, improvement where necessary
- Coach and mentor team members
- Professional degree in finance/accounting and professional qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- 15 years and above of work experience with at least 10 years in a leadership position, preferably in a fast-paced technology industry
- Experience in SAP, automation projects, LEAN or RPA
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local country accounting standards
- Strong team player with experience working in a dynamic organisation and demonstrated ability to build bridges between stakeholders
- Strong communication, influencing skills including ability to step up in challenging status quo when necessary
- Strong analytical skills with deep understanding of business principles and practices
- Able to contribute to the global execution of key global strategic initiatives and projects
- Proven track record of team development, process efficiency, quality improvement and innovating finance workloads
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive customer service focus to both internal and external customers, including audit/statutory engagement
