Survitec now has an exciting opportunity to bring on board a FP&A Controller based at our Dunmurry, Belfast office! Reporting into our Head of FP&A. Your role will sit as part of our Group Division reporting on Global operations across multiple regions. You will provide analytical support to the finance function by preparing quantitative analysis to support business decisions. You will also develop, refine, and implement financial performance KPI’s, plans and measures to safeguard and accurately report on the financial results of the business.
- You will monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing cause of unexpected variance across a range of business functions and measures, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Support the development and improvement of financial processes, systems, and tools, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, and modelling.
- Prepare a range of standard and ad-hoc reports and analyses to support business decision making. Prepares and analyses quarterly and monthly financial reports.
- Contribute to the development of Survitec’s financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with finance regulations and good financial practice.
- Support performance improvement by evaluating processes, identifying, and recommending actions to improve.
- Carry out analysis and modelling work to support strategic investment and business cases across a range of business disciplines, ensuring accurate and appropriate forecasting of business benefit and return on investment.
- Analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
- Support managers with in-depth analysis activity, helping them to get the most out of available data.
- Prepare presentations for delivery to Marine, Defence, Executive and Investment boards.
- Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
Essential Criteria
- Forecast and Budget experience
- Sales and Margin analysis
- Financial modelling
- Manufacturing background
- Bachelor’s degree within a Financial Discipline
- 5+ years of relevant FP&A experience within a Global/Group environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation skills
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of Power BI and IFS preferable
- Qualified Accountant with significant experience.
