VP of Global Marketing will lead a team to flawless execution of Uphold marketing, brand and customer initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead an experienced team of content, email, paid advertising, public relations and social media experts to deliver against the key business goals. This shared services marketing team will support the consumer, enterprise and institutional lines of business.
This role will work directly with business unit leaders to develop and execute plans and evaluate return on investment. This role will report directly to the CEO of Uphold. Ultimately, this role and the team will be responsible for the successful positioning and messaging of Uphold that differentiates the company and positions it as a leader in the industry.
- Build and daily, actively manage a high-performing team of skilled marketing professionals
- Develop strategic marketing plans that deliver on the core business unit metrics
- Create go-to-market strategy and plan for each campaign and expected results
- Measure campaign performance
- Work hand-in-hand with business unit leads to understand key objectives and how the marketing team can support those objectives
- Maintaining and growing the Uphold brand, positioning and supporting initiatives
- Ensure campaigns and marketing team outputs meet the brand and the excellent standard expected
- Be directly responsible for the return on all investment (paid media, influencers, etc.)
- Own the agency relationships for marketing
- Calendar across all business units to ensure visibility and coordination across initiatives
- Having a seat at the executive level to understand and support the business
- Set functional policies and processes for how we do marketing
- Manage the company style book and enforce brand guidelines
- Ensure all marketing is appropriately checked and signed off by compliance and legal
- Understand and enforce the marketing and promotional rules in each licensed jurisdiction in which we work
- Take responsibility for the marketing control framework liaising with compliance and legal
- Ensure the unit understands and delivers against the goals of internal Business Unit owners, who represent internal customers
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- 8-10 years of experience in promotions or related field
- Crypto and blockchain experience a must
- Proven track record of developing successful promotional campaigns
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw insights from it
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Fluency in cryptocurrencies or other digital assets as they are core to our business
