Responsible for all operational activities within the Record-To-Report (RTR) process scope of SSC: ie Month End Closing, archiving, JV posting, internal BC queries, FP&A and Consolidation queries, Internal Controls, Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliations; other activities executed by the RTR tower in the Shared Services Center. The R2R Manager supervises the R2R tower in SSC Finance (team of up to 6 people) and ensures high service delivery, with high quality, according to SSC targets (per Service Level Agreement) for BC business units in the APAC region.
The R2R Manager manages R2R Tower through (Junior/Senior) R2R Team Leads and R2R Coordinators. She/he will be actively driving the SSC scope extensions as per ToMs designed by the Group. She/ he is regularly in contact with the key SSC service receivers (local accounting teams across APAC/ Group Accounting and Risk team) to actively manage the business expectations and constantly drive process improvements to ensure the agreed service quality levels as well as to strive for higher productivity. People development is a key element to achieve this.

  • Oversees the R2R processes within the SSC and provides objectives to the team leads of each process sub-stream.
  • Manage, coordinate and develop/ coach the SSC RTR staff and actively plan for succession to develop and replace individuals effectively
  • Proactively manage and monitor KPIs and SLAs to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables. Establish regular communication to share successes and solicit challenges or concerns with all SSC Key Stakeholders to ensure issues are identified, tracked and resolved promptly
  • With a high priority, identify, research, develop and implement improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures in SSC RTR processes (incl. Continuous Improvement culture program) along with RTR Global Process Owner. To ensure alignment of APAC accounting processes with Group SSC practices.
  • Maintain strong controls ensuring all group policies and statutory requirements are complied with by the SSC RTR team. Elevate the relevancy and timeliness of the control environment.
  • Supervise month-end, quarterly and YE closings and provide internal and external audit support
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement that ensures process flows and standard operating procedures are both kept current and reviewed by all staff and stakeholders and constantly enhanced and improved
  • Managing SSC RTR department financials (budgets, forecasts, etc)
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • + 10 years of experience with growing responsibilities in SSC/BPO environments.
  • At least > 8 years of experience in Finance and Accounting and managing financial support services (Teams around 6 FTEs)
  • Experience in F&A (finance and accounting) within shared services center environments preferred
  • Experience in R2R team management/people management, > 5 years, is a must.
  • Working experience in an international business environment
  • SSC/BPO working experience in R2R with knowledge of best practices.
  • Successful transition project experiences (transition activities into SSC and process progression models).
  • Profound Finance knowledge in all areas (incl. tax)
  • Good understanding of automation opportunities
  • Experienced in continuous improvement approach (green belt/black belt certification would be an asset)
  • Excellent Accounting knowledge (ACCA or CIMA diploma would be an asset)
  • Working knowledge in ERP (SAP) and other finance and support systems
  • Proven skills in project management,
  • Experience in Lean implementation or leading Lean operations in SSC
  • Fluency English
