The Global Project Manager for Transport Planning & Execution will lead all the project management activities for implementation of this new global capability in GBS. This role will coordinate fit gap designs, transition, and IT projects and will closely partner with Change & comms to deliver effective and engaging strategy for the project. He/she will keep all leadership informed and up to date through governance, tracking, and presentation of project status and next steps until the capability is live in hub (target end 2025). This role requires specialized knowledge of the transport planning & execution capability to best support design and transition efforts. The role also require significant cross functional capabilities to work with Finance, GP, SC, IT, R&D, HR and GBS Eco-system teams.

  • Deliver detailed project plan for the transport planning & execution capability resulting in stand up of this new global capability for GBS
  • Insure delivery of the global business case ($15MM () by designing, staffing, and transitioning sectors and functions to new structure plus unlocking additional 3-5% of global transport spend, improving service, revenue and PEP+
  • Will lead and coordinate fit gap designs for the remaining 6 sectors insuring design deliverables are achieved and stage gates cleared
  • Partner with consultants on design insuring project deliverables and requirements arte achieved according to SOW
  • Establishes transition plan and timeline in partnership with the transition offices for the appropriate hubs
  • Works closely with TA and HR on hiring, interviews, and other people
  • Insures effective KC/KT/due diligence achieved for all roles
  • Lead weekly governance meetings and period Steering Council presentations insuring stakeholder alignment
  • Resolves issues proactively and raises critical issues
  • Montiors IT solution development and implementation
  • Actively engages as part of the Global Change and Comms plans related to the project
  • Reports out to senior leadership as needed sharing criticals KPIs and performance
  • Establishes SLAs/OLAs and ways of working for the new function and teams
  • Proactively identifies gaps, risks, obstacles and potential alternatives to solve and insure project stays on track
  • Work cross functionally with Finance, HR, R&D, GP, SC, and IT to achieve best solutions/outcomes
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, business, operations
  • Minimum 5 years in supply chain with specific focus on project management and transportation expereince
  • Ability to positively influence teams outside of direct responsibility and across multiple business units
  • Capable of working in a remote work group and being managed by a remote manager
  • Utilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problems
  • Ability to drive large transformational change agenda to include people, process, technology transformation
  • Ability to identify business issues and escalate in a timely fashion
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and experience leading multiple teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively across multi-functional, sector, and business teams
  • Ability to lead in a matrix organization – Proven leadership ability to influence others and drive results without direct reporting relationship
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; proactively communicates using appropriate methods for situation and audience in clear, concise and professional manner
  • English Fluency both written and verbal required; Exceptional communication skills across global businesses (additional languages a plus)
  • Strong track record to manage multiple competing cross-functional priorities
  • Experience developing and deploying large, complex best practices or projects
  • Proficient with Process Improvement methodologies and supply chain excellence (Lean Six Sigma Belt/ Agile/ APICS)
  • Proven project Leadership: Project management and team approach to deliver large scale change and IT initiatives
  • Experience directly leading cross-functional competencies, people, and teams
  • Strong track record of developing capabilities and scaling sustained operations resulting in long-term growth
  • Strong track record in formulating innovative solutions and driving change
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Strong team player passionate about collaborating, coordinating, and committed to teamwork in all situations
