We are recruiting for an experienced Global Process Owner to join our RTR (Record to Report) team on a permanent basis in either London or Manchester. Reporting to the Head of Finance Continuous Improvement, as Global Process Owner you will join the Continuous Improvement team and will be responsible for the successful design, implementation and continuous improvement of our end to end global processes.
You will ensure these processes are clearly defined and standardised, with the right controls in place to successfully deliver improved cost savings and efficiencies across ITV, whilst enabling greater analysis and insight to drive business performance. You will work collaboratively with teams across the business to implement automation and process improvements.
- Drive and lead continuous improvement and process excellence in your areas, with a focus on user experience, partnering with the business to deliver change that helps deliver ITV’s vision and digital transformation agenda.
- Accountable for the successful design, implementation and continuous improvement of “best in class” standard processes that comply with regulatory and statutory requirements and that improve user experience.
- Keep abreast of external best practice and emerging new technologies, investigating and recommending opportunities that would add value to ITV
- Own and maintain process documentation including standard operating procedures and training materials.
- Responsible for creating smoothly functioning end to end global processes, using analytics to provide solid trend data to enable the business to make quick, informed decisions.
- Represent the RTR process in all global business-led system projects where there are finance process change impacts.
- Oversee the change request management process, reviewing and prioritising business requirements.
- Work with the Head of Continuous Improvement and collaboratively with the other GPOs to ensure improvements are aligned across all process areas and synergies are identified where possible.
- Work with our tech teams to ensure quarterly Oracle updates are tested and implemented, with all relevant documentation updated and all training needs met.
- Embedding Oracle Fusion – helping to stabilise our new platform, continuing to build on the foundations by prioritising and implementing those improvements sitting in our ‘parking lot’.
- Produce business cases to support any investment.
- Responsible for business related policies and procedures.
- Work closely and in an agile way with our cross-functional teams to deliver improvements to support the Finance vision.
- Develop and embed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the process, including analysis of KPIs to drive process change
- Ensure we have the right data, reporting and analytics to support the business in your process area, making the inputs more efficient to support the rest of the business upstream
- Determine training needs and deliver training to the business.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified accountant
- In depth knowledge of the RTR process area and a strong understanding of external best-practice benchmarks.
- Change champion with a strong track record of designing and implementing best in class processes.
- Experience of designing and developing process maps and activity documents.
- Proven successful project management experience to develop plans and manage risks.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Lean/Six Sigma/PRINCE qualifications and experience desirable.
- Ability to re-imagine processes with business outcomes in mind, while improving efficiency end-to-end.
- Experience in a Global Business Services environment would be beneficial.
- Excellent relationship and collaborative skills; building and maintaining strong relationships and working with colleagues to meet shared goals.
- Strong understanding and awareness of automation tools available to make effective investment recommendations.
- Ability to use data from both internal and external sources, to identify opportunities and present recommendations for improvements.
- Experience of working within SOX or similar regulatory environment.
- Excellent IT skills including GSuite and Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
