We are excited to have an opportunity for a real dynamic leader who enjoys having more than one role by being responsible for the Global Business Services (GBS) Site as well as holding end responsibility for all accounting activities across Europe. The position is based in the heart of Krakow.

You will therefore also have a dual reporting line into the Global Director of GBS and the VP Corporate Controlling being located at our HQ’s in the Woodlands.

You will lead a team of 3 direct reports as GBS Hub Leader and 5 direct reports as EU Regional Accounting Director.

As The GBS Hub Leader

You will have a key leadership role to play in developing and implementing the GBS strategy in the region, providing strategic, business and human leadership to the Krakow based teams and enabling an effective and cost efficient GBS organization. The role will shape and deliver business capabilities for the hub, while ensuring a reliable, compliant, and secure environment. The role will also liaise significantly with internal partners throughout the GBS network, including in-country financial controllers, business leaders, and GBS leadership and teams. The role will be an integral part of the GBS global leadership team, supporting the head of GBS and function leaders in identifying opportunities for improving the overall effectiveness and efficiency of our shared service operations.

As The Regional Accounting Director

You will the leader in the Global Accounting and R2R organizations and will be responsible for all aspects of accounting (including financial reviews and reporting, local statutory filings and audit, controls and processes, and business support) across NL, BE, DE, CH, IT, UK, & LU. You will be expected to be a senior professional with a real expertise regarding the technical aspects of US GAAP accounting, as well as local compliance requirements, and ensuring your teams operate to the highest standards, proactively manage risk areas, provide solutions, and implement process improvements.

You will have the following:

• CPA or equivalent certification
• Bachelor and Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations or Business Related
• 10+ years of controllership, accounting and/or audit experience
• Technical knowledge and experience managing US GAAP and various local GAAP statutory financial statements and audits
• Impeccable integrity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with service and customer orientation
• Able to work collaboratively with the businesses as a team member
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvement
• Proven track record as a strong leader of a diverse group of associates and the ability to effectively coach and develop a team
• Preferred: Served as a previous leader of a GBS Hub or Shared Services Center (SSC)
• Ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to build collaborative relationships within the various Hub departments
