Leadership role with wide span of control and far-reaching effects – Multifunctional and multidimensional GBS organisation poised for further growth.
Our client is the GBS organisation of a large global shipping player. While the GBS organisation spans over 10,000 people globally, the Mumbai City Centre, which is a fast-growing office, houses more than 1000 FTEs.
- Set Shared Service Centre strategy and oversee operations, P&L, and compliance.
- Drive growth opportunities, negotiate critical agreements, and lead crisis plans.
- Define Global Service Line Strategy, maximise value, and initiate projects aligned with the strategy
- Optimise resource utilisation and ensure knowledge development globally.
- Ensure compliance with local requirements and provide processes accordingly.
- Analyse complex issues, deliver innovations, and explore automation opportunities.
- Establish long-term relationships, understand partner requirements, and foster cross-functional cooperation.
As a successful Centre Head GBS you must hail from or be ready to relocate to Mumbai City and:
- Possess deep experience within Shared Services and BPO, ideally from a Customer Service background within shipping and logistics
- Have experience in leading a large (min 500+ HC) shared services centre including managing the administrative responsibilities associated with the position
- Have a successful track record in transformation objectives
