Our client is a large corporate Australian Organisation who are seeking an experienced Shared Services Professional to run a large team. Based in Melbourne, this is a pivotal management role which requires strong team leadership and business partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction for the shared services function, aligning it with the organisation’s overall goals and objectives.
- Service Excellence: Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of shared services are met, meeting or exceeding service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Cost Optimisation: Manage and optimise costs associated with shared services, identifying opportunities for savings and process improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of shared services processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring shared services meet business requirements.
- Technology and Innovation: Stay updated on technological advancements, identifying opportunities to leverage technology and innovation in shared services.
- Compliance: Ensure that shared services operate in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
- Develop Collections, Payments, cash, and accounting assurance strategies to optimise cash flow and improve customer and vendor experiences whilst minimising risk, cost and debt.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing team, overseeing hiring, training, and performance management.
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor’s degree in the related finance field (MBA favourable) with a minimum of 10 years experience in a similar Head of Shared Services Role within a Blue Chip or large organisation. You will have strong analytical skills and experience developing KPIs internally whilst mentoring and developing large teams to ensure a customer centric approach. In addition to this you will also be managing outsourced delivery partners and have experience doing this your previous roles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and a diverse management group will be essential for your success in this position too.
