The Strategic Partnership Manager, Shared Services is responsible for the ongoing relationship management, including performance monitoring, of the services provided by Vanguard Investments Australia (VIA) on behalf of Vanguard Super Pty Ltd (VSPL).

  • Relationship management of related party services provided by VIA on behalf of VSPL, including being an initial single point of contact for contracted deliverables and supporting frameworks
  • Build and maintains proactive relationships with key internal stakeholders to drive delivery and outcomes. Establish, schedule and facilitate regular forums between these stakeholders.
  • Manage contract review process; initiates updates to service level agreements (SLAs) as required. Monitor performance standard; addresses and resolves issues and escalates significant performance issues and trends to key internal stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain the partner management framework, including engagement through strategic and business planning processes. Supports quality audits and accompanying actions
  • Lead and facilitate the annual due diligence and performance management review of services provided by VIA
  • Development of management reporting & dashboards to provide meaningful insights on vendor performance to internal management, Super Trustee and independent Trustee Board. Quarterly performance scorecard evaluation for VIA Shared Services
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Key attributes of a successful candidate

  • Strong stakeholder management (proven ability to interact and build relationships with various levels of management; proactive approach to building relationships)
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Negotiation skills (proven ability to influence stakeholders for mutually beneficial outcomes)
  • Prior experience with Board paper writing
  • Ability to synthesise information and provide insights
  • Ability to tailor information or data to a variety of audiences (senior managers – independent Board)
  • Five years related experience in understand the complex Superannuation regulatory landscape
  • Prior experience in relationship management is preferred

Qualifications & Specialisations required:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Minimum of eight years business experience
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills to senior management
  • Excellent project management and prioritisation skills
