We are looking for an ambitious and motivated professional to join our expanding Finance Projects and Systems Centre of Excellence in Cape Town.

A significant gap in capability has been identified in Centre of Excellence – Finance Projects and Systems to enable Shared Services and the Finance Functions across the business once projects have been completed, and during the business-as-usual activities:

• Finance business process knowledge and support
• Business process analysis support (Celonis)
• Integration solution design knowledge and support (including interface accounting mapping tables)
• Reconciliation systems support – within the General Ledger and against non-SAP subledger systems
• Supplier Reconciliation (Best- TBC)
• General Ledger Reconciliation (Best / Blackline – TBC)
• Subledger Reconciliation (Alyteryx)
• Invoice automation (Aiforged)
• Monitoring of systems and applications

Finance Systems Support Engineer will:

• support the finance business process and integration complexities across the TFG systems landscape,
• develop a deep understanding of TFG’s financial systems and processes,
• act as a finance detective providing exceptional service to identify and solve issues within multiple areas of finance systems,
• focus on the highly complex system integrations for finance processes, and invoice automation solutions,
• ensure optimal performance and stability of finance solutions in the Finance Shared Service Centre.
  • Specialist support for finance business process incidents

Incident Management – Business Process, Integration & Reconciliation

• Providing timely responses to queries
• Problem solving and root cause analysis to identify suitable solutions to resolve the incidents
• Report any errors and issues to the key stakeholders related to finance applications
• System integration and data reconciliation queries support and investigations
• Troubleshoot integration issues, trace the root cause, and identify improvements
• Proactive integration management (including intelligence automation)
• Support of system reconciliation solutions (Alteryx, Best)
• Ensure that business and system requirements for small enhancements are adequately met and implemented through working closely with users at all levels

Conduct System Maintenance, Security and UAT

• Develop effective and efficient test plans
• Conduct the user acceptance testing and identify errors within the system; and provide feedback to TFG Infotec
• Assist with reviewing risk and impact of testing defects, and assist with fixing where necessary
• Assist super users in testing
• Work with the business to ensure readiness for the upgrades and release management

System Support and Training

• Support of financial systems users on the current business processes
• Support of business process management solutions (Celonis)
• Develop and maintain the user guides and manuals (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Assist with change management relating to new systems or processes or changes to systems or processes.
• Support business and IT in implementing solutions
• Management and maintenance of user access

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Professional engagement and collaboration with internal stakeholders to provide solutions to problems
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders in areas of responsibility
• Provide feedback on progress of all tasks to applicable stakeholders

Experience

• 5 – 8 years functional experience in Finance Information Systems

Qualification

• Honours Degree in Finance / Business / Mathematics / Stats
• CIMA
• SAP experience is desirable
