As Process & Product Owner P2P, you’ll be responsible for driving efficiency, digitalization and quality improvements together with the Country BPI Lead and the NL Product & Process manager. Together with the business teams, you’ll ensure a fluent process and realization of high quality financial services. You’ll have a bridging role between business teams (Financial & Business Control, the AH Tech Teams and BPO team) to ensure a fluent process.
As Process & Product Owner P2P, you’re part of the P2P tower within Business Services NL, a shared services organization dedicated to helping Ahold Delhaize’s great brands in NL to achieve their strategic goals. As Process & Product Owner P2P, you’ll work together closely with the AH Tech teams, scrum master and the scrum teams to develop and maintain the products within the P2P tower. In order to do so, you are the ‘go-to person’ to identify, prioritize and maintain the product backlog. You’ll monitor the progress of product development and ensure the product aligns with the user group of the product to realize maximum business value.
Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:
Management of the tower processes
- You’re responsible for the daily execution within the tower in cooperation with the BPO / ESC Finance. You’ll drive the continuous improvement and standardization of the processes, ensure that all improvement processes are embedded in the daily operations. You’re supervising and supporting month-end close process for the tower.
Influencing & Partnering
- You’re responsible for awareness creation for standardized way of working and best practices within the tower. You cooperate with Business stakeholders on requirements for standard way of working. You’re closely cooperating and developing strong relationships with stakeholders.
Ensuring daily operations are carried out according to Service Level Agreements
- You manage the overall process, reporting on KPIs, key statistic information, analyzing of operating results, enhancing effectiveness of the process. You’ll develop, measure and report on consistently meeting appropriate service level targets for all major processes as well as ensuring they are implemented and adhered to. You ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures / co-coordinating and assisting in developing proper documentation. You’re involved in preparation of audit materials needed to facilitate internal and external audits. You’re providing end to end process insights across multiple systems.
Product Ownership
- As Process & Product Owner P2P you contribute to product vision development (which is led by the NL product & process manager). You’re involved in translation of the product vision into a product roadmap to realize maximum business value for Finance business stakeholders. You manage the product backlog, prioritize and maintain the items on the backlog and make sure that pipeline for scrum teams is sufficient. You’ll define epics, features and user stories for the scrum teams to develop, maintain the finance products and sign off (or reject with a reason) sprint results. You make sure the products remain up to date, compliant, relevant for business stakeholders and facilitate business change.
Furthermore, you’ll:
- Ensure alignment with corporate and EU policies procedures and local requirements;
- You’re in close to the daily operations, ensure flawless execution of the process in alignment with the BPO partner and Finance department.
- Plan, prepare, monitor and execute the improvement projects to continuously ensure improvement of the tower;
- You cooperate with your European colleagues (CSE, BE) to exchange knowledge on the tower level
- Participate in projects and by doing this, ensure the accurate establishment of financial processes and accounting, in cooperation with other finance functions and business
- Engage fully in the Albert Heijn product process including events, training, way of working to ensure Finance is represented in the process and finance requirements are considered an integral part of every business delivery.
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:
- Have a university degree in business studies or business economics, and are experts in the process area
- Have at least 4 years’ experience in Finance, preferably in the process or as a finance consultant, project manager, audit, accounting, financial/business controlling or accounts payable
- Excellent Dutch and English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Based in NL, willing to travel to European brands (countries) and BPO / Captive locations (Poland / India / Belgrade)
