Provide leadership in design, administration and improvements to accounting processes in the Global Finance Centres.
Existing processes :
- Continuously evaluate current processes, adherence to core model and consistent adoption of processes / policies across the GFCs
- Identify opportunities in improving current process design / controls / efficiencies
- Drive actions to improve standardization of processes within and across the GFCs
- Act as the custodian of catalogues, processes, procedures within the GFCs
New processes :
- Drive the design, validation and deployment of new processes as may be required from time to time
- Participate in working groups / core committees on new processes / initiatives / new policies or changes as the representative of the Global Finance Centers (GFCs)
- Oversee deployment of new policies / changes to policies impacting the processes in the GFCs
Process performance optimization :
- Own the design / definitions and consistent application of process KPIs across the centers
- Monitor, review and publish process KPIs / trends and narratives
- Identify key drivers to improve business KPIs and support in implementing actions
Business partnering
- Work closely with other internal organizations like Region Accounting on key issues and focus areas
- Provide guidance to other teams within the GFC on processes, policies and improvement initiatives
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- Post Graduate /Masters in Accounting / Finance
Desirable:
- CA / CMA
Experience
Mandatory:
- Experience of 10-15 years In Accounting / Finance in a shared services or outsourcing environment
- Experience in building process design / process flows
- Previous experience in contributing, reviewing group guidelines and processes
Desirable:
- Experience in RFP / solutioning / consulting

- In-depth understanding of Procure to Pay or Record to Report processes, tools and interfaces
- Detailed understanding of a shared services environment
- Working level understanding of accounting tools and interfaces
- Working level understanding of internal control / SOx environment in accounting
- Ability to spot gaps, in-efficiencies in processes
- Ability to benchmark processes to market and current trends
- Ability to understand and align to key business priorities
- Active listening, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication
- Ability to integrate diverse view points
- Ability to drive consensus among conflicting needs
- Ability to articulate issues, ideas, solutions with clarity
