The intent is to provide a team resource that can accelerate the transition of these large deals, shortening time to revenue generation by clearly defining strategy, organising and communicating with key stakeholders and ensuring strong leadership throughout the process.
The new team of c. 4 to 5 FTE will be led by a Transition Management Director, and support by the Senior Project Manager – Client Transitions, and working alongside dedicated resources from Legal, Operations, IT and HR.
Responsibilities (how we will measure success)
- As a Senior PM working with the Transition Management Director, your focus will be leading the transition projects to onboard / transition large transformational deals into IQ-EQ
- Responsible for the delivery of transition programmes and ensuring timely execution, communications and stakeholder management to onboard large transformational deals within agreed timeframes
- Ensure governance procedures are adhered to, working closely with functional leads within the Transition team
- Adhere to the Change Delivery team’s standard methodology and governance processes.
- Organising and motivating project teams, directing the project and all stakeholders involved to successful delivery
- Active engagement leading client transition meetings
- Involvement in commercial processes and client pitches for transformational deals on project approach
- Upon securing of a deal, lead on client and sales discussion to align on scope and transition expectations
- In the medium-term, as the team expands, a future role managing a small team is expected
- Effective collaboration of all key stakeholders
Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)
- Responsible for all aspects of Project Management, including but not limited to; Initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring and controlling including change control and project closure – ensuring predictable and successful delivery
- Determine objectives and measures that each client transition will be evaluated against upon completion and track ongoing progress.
- Ongoing communication and management of all project stakeholders, with particular focus on client engagement, ensuring consistent, clear and transparent updates and escalations
- Contribution to a positive, engaged and team culture within the Transition team
- Preparation of project documentation in collaboration with Project Sponsor, Subject Matter Experts and other relevant stakeholders. For example:
- Client transition plans
- Weekly and monthly client and steerco updates
- Closure Reports
- Working closely with the project team members to ensure that scope is defined, requirements documented, tracked and delivery schedules are on track;
- Applying change control processes as per PMO governance
- Proactive management of project risks, including the development of contingency plans
- Reporting through agreed lines on project progress through highlight reports and end-stage assessments, including option papers and recommendations
- Liaise with Transition colleagues and other departments as needed to ensure Client Transition is successful
- Production of closure reports, evaluating successes, challenges and lessons learned to enhance learning for future transitions.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
- Experience of end to end project management across a variety of different types of complex projects
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable communicating with diverse stakeholders including subject matter experts, peers, executives, clients and suppliers.
- Ability to influence and facilitate decision making among senior stakeholders.
- Can do’ attitude, ability to cope with tight deadlines and working under pressure.
- Ability to take initiative and self-manage
- Ability to take a creative approach to resolving a range of issues
- Excellent presentation skills, both written and oral
- Professional Qualification in a Project Management related discipline
- Experience working in Financial Services industry
- Understanding of Global Organisation structures and distributed operating models including Shared Service Centres.
- Experience leading a team of project staff
- Experience in Technology project implementation and data transition
- High degree of literacy in applications such as; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio
- Fluent in English Language
Desired Criteria:
- Previous experience in projects focused on implementing new operating models / changing existing operating models including multi-location operating models and Shared Service Centres / Centres of Excellence.
- Experience of operating within a firm that shares some of the following features: –
- Globally distributed teams
- Fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment
- Knowledge of or experience working in a Private Equity / Investor services industry
- Degree level qualification
