Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Program Manager, Supplier Diversity & Inclusion to be located in New Brunswick, NJ or Tampa, FL.

  • Partner with supplier diversity and Citizenship leaders to develop, communicate and execute a strategy among internal and external partners including procurement, customer account managers and external advocacy partners, ensure annual and monthly business plan commitments for Tier I, Tier II, Small Business requirements, and other metrics as defined.
  • Act as subject matter authority for the enterprise in supplier diversity for the enterprise to advise all functions in response to inquiries regarding program development, policies, best practices, resources, and general knowledge. Responsible for formulating and executing a robust internal communications strategy is driven, that includes training, presentations, management of the supplier diversity intranet site that ensures that enterprise-wide supplier diversity policies conform to industry standards and can withstand external and internal scrutiny. Assist senior management in building materials for the J&J Board of Directors
  • Execute federal and/or state government and commercial customer supplier diversity reporting and serve as primary contact for them regarding Johnson & Johnson supplier diversity program. This includes direct customer engagements and collaboration with internal business partners in customer facing functions.
  • Represent J&J externally with key leading advocacy organizations (e.g., WBENC, DisabilityIn, NaVOBA, Buy Social USA). Participate on, or position oneself to be nominated to, the Boards and/or Chairperson roles for committees and activate public speaking engagements. Acknowledge, communicate and coordinate J&J participation in awards and recognitions from external advocacy groups and customers. Coordinate J&J’s activation for all events including recruitment of J&J representatives, management of 3rd party contractors to facilitate booth representation and collateral, and preparation for the J&J team slated to attend the event.
  • Partner with the communications team, supplier diversity directors and other stakeholders to build external communications including corporate responses to surveys and nominations, requests for media materials, and and publications.
  • Develop business plan for supplier diversity operational development, and manage execution and adherence to the plan commitments for memberships, sponsorships, supplier diversity 3rd party support, contracts, projects, , and overall functions for the office of supplier diversity.
  • Develop and implement a diverse/small supplier development program aimed at improving the sustainability of current leading suppliers and build excellent relationships with key individuals in advocacy groups for support.
  • Partner with leader responsible for running 3rd party contractors to provide support for certification training, tradeshow collateral and registrations ensuring excellent execution of administrative and operational functions.

Education:

  • University/Bachelor’s or equivalent degree is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Eight (8) years in Sourcing, Procurement, Finance or Process Excellence.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to build and deliver compelling and engaging communications.
  • Excellent public speaking ability and public presence.
  • Proven sophisticated analytical skills applying Excel, pivot tables, and databases.
  • Experience in working with senior management leaders.
  • Experience in working in a highly confidential environment.
  • Procurement: basic understanding of systems and processes.

Preferred:

  • Project management background.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) and/or Certified Professional in Supplier Management (CPSM), PE: Black Belt or Green Belt certified.
  • Experience in working across operating companies and GOCs; global experience.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and discipline.
  • One to two (1-2) years of intensive experience in communications preferred, especially in external communications.
  • Sourcing proficiencies: sophisticated contracts and large bidding events; processes and tools.

Other:

  • Up to 30% domestic & international travel is required (1-2 international trips per year).
