As a Shared Service Center (SSC) manager, you and your team are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the financial administration. You ensure tight financial processes and guide your team. You tackle difficult administrative issues yourself. There are currently several improvement processes underway and the design of the financial administration is being professionalized.

  • Leading the team and ensuring that team objectives are achieved;
  • Coaching employees and guiding the further professionalization of employees within the department in order to achieve a higher quality level;
  • The annual preparation of the annual accounts in collaboration with your colleagues from the Reporting and Control department;
  • Professionalizing and optimizing the accounting department and the financial systems to be used into an efficient Shared Service Center (SSC);
  • Ensuring the development and implementation of procedures for internal control and budget monitoring and for the continuity of the activities of the financial administration;
  • Periodically preparing interim financial reports, including a thorough analysis;
  • Monitoring the quality of the work and services provided by the financial administration;
  • Being responsible for connecting the financial administration to the sub-administrations;
  • Consulting with controllers and management about their information needs and providing reports.
  • At least a completed higher professional education/university education in Accounting or MSc Accountancy;
  • At least ten years of relevant work experience in financial control and/or accountancy and ready for the next step;
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations regarding annual accounts law and of course tax knowledge;
  • Extensive experience with Excel;
  • Experience in coaching, guiding and developing employees;
  • Experience in managing improvement processes;
  • Expert in finance and up to date with the latest developments;
  • Experience with audits and annual accounts;
  • Do you have good social skills and can you work both independently and in a team?
  • A good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
