The CMI Manager of Functional Excellence will fuel our competitive advantage and will be instrumental in shaping and advancing CMI for the future. This role will report to the Director of Consumer & Marketing Insights and will be a strategic right hand to the CMI Leadership team to advance functional priorities for our global CMI community.
50% of Time – Strategic Project Management
- Provides ongoing review, recommendations, and refinement of our vision and the 3-year strategic plan for the function Marketing & cross selling capabilities at organizational forums
- Helps create and operationalize roadmap to enable functional vision with ongoing metric tracking
- Anticipates, influences and planes for future techniques, tools and skill development
- Partners with our HR and L&D leaders in advancing capability building to advance each player and our global CMI Community
- Evaluates existing processes and proposes more efficient ways of working. Identifies, develops, and presents new process flow recommendations
50% of Time – Operational & Executional Excellence
- Active member of the extended CMI Leadership Team that enables effective operating structure
- Proactively collects and presents best in class practices, case studies, modern tools and thinking through our external partnerships (i.e. – conferences, academia, periodicals, vendors & suppliers, guest speakers, your network)
- Influences, contributes, and manages CMI budgets, the HIVE system, and compliance for project management and reporting.
- Develops and executes content creation for key CMI moments (Town Halls, LT Meetings, etc.)
- Adept at resource allocation, utilization & capacity management
- Maintain highest level of timeliness and accuracy in all service delivery
- Effective stakeholder management to deliver high level of customer satisfaction
- Enable standardization across different processes/Regions within and across verticals
- Represents CMI through participation in a variety of cross functional meetings and initiatives
Education
- Minimum Degree Requirements:Bachelors
- Preferred Degree Requirements:Masters
- Preferred Major Area of Study: Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics, Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, or another related field ; PMI, Six Sigma (or similar) certification
Experience
- Minimum years of related experience required:6 – 8 years of experience in Consumer Insights and/or project management tools
- Preferred years of related experience: 10+ years of experience working across variety of research methodologies
Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed
- Experience managing projects and proficiency in project management tools.
- Experience working across variety of primary and secondary research methodologies (i.e. – quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods).
- Experience in insight discovery and application across innovation, communications, and brand renovation
- Experience in data analysis with the ability to rationalize in apt and simplified manners
- Manifest superior results leveraging a host of tools/databases and software’s/platforms
- Collaborate with peers to align with evolving needs and showcase agility to adapt
- Effective stakeholder management & ability to set & manage expectations
