We’re looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our Management Accounts team based in Bradford. This is hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.
Working in a constantly changing, dynamic, fast paced and diverse environment, our Management Accounting team deliver accurate internal reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders across the Liberty Global Footprint including Group Financial Control, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Commercial Finance, external Auditors and the wider Accounting Operations team, to support timely decision making and ensure the accuracy of external reporting.
Schedule: Flexitime; Monday to Friday; No weekends
- Identify and manage operational and financial risks to OCF and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Manage, mentor, and develop direct finance graduate report.
- Review and present divisional reporting packs for internal stakeholders in line with required deadlines, plus any other ad hoc reporting as required.
- Work with Group Financial Control and Policy to ensure GAAP compliant policies are applied to profit and loss accounting entries.
- Responsible for Balance Sheet accounts, including review of reconciliations and ensuring adequate assurance activities have occurred, commercial and transactional completeness of commentary, and summarization of key items.
- SOX control completion and effectiveness, payment approvals, chart of accounts mappings and governance changes for your area, and ownership of audit relationship for your area.
- Responsible for complete and accurate HFM reporting including movement code analysis and supplemental reporting for the division.
- Provide support to Group Tax with quarterly tax reporting and information requests to support the annual Corporation Tax Returns.
Essential
- Professional Accountancy qualification (ACA; ACCA etc) with considerable PQE.
- Management Accounts or Audit experience.
- Strong excel skills essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of working in a complex environment, delivering to deadlines.
Desirable
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS. Experience of working within large corporate structures.
- Financial systems skills beneficial (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Hyperion/HFM)
