Our client is an international professional services firm with its center for shared services located in Warsaw. Renowned for its global expertise, the company excels in providing a spectrum of professional services, including M&A, banking, capital markets, energy & infrastructure and real estate.

  • Engage proactively with finance stakeholders to understand and address their perspectives, feedback, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with various teams to provide input and gain oversight on proposals and projects that may impact the finance team
  • Provide advice on queries related to finance team operations, policies, processes, and plans
  • Actively promote understanding of differences in behaviors and norms across locations
  • Work closely with key points of contact in the finance function to understand their requirements and offer support and guidance for performance improvement
  • Serve as a point of escalation for local and subject matter queries
  • Act as a finance function ambassador within the organization
  • Participate in reviews related to processes, teams, the organization, and model design
  • Take responsibility for the life cycle of Finance Team Members
  • Promote adherence to organizational values and foster company culture within the team
  • Champion collaboration across teams and functions, and encourage innovative thinking and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Business Teams and HR to drive initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and corporate social responsibility
  • Support talent development within the finance team by providing feedback and championing Performance and Career Development principles
  • Mentor direct reports to enhance their operational skills, oversee training and development
  • Ensure top performers have access to stretch development opportunities
  • Develop individual objectives aligned with finance function and organizational objectives and manage against them
  • Foster a culture of trust and empowerment to maximize cooperation and exchange of ideas and experiences
  • Adjust team structure as needed to ensure the right level of seniority, retention, and cost management
  • Assume accountability and responsibility for the finance function within the organization
  • Benchmark quality and productivity
  • Manage, measure, report on SLAs/KPIs, improve, and automate processes
  • Set clear and measurable goals to enhance operational performance
  • Elevate organizational brand by delivering excellent performance results
  • Over 10 years of successful management in a shared service center, specifically in Finance & Accounting operations within a world-class organization
  • Holds a diploma in Finance and Accounting and possesses professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, MBA, or equivalent
  • Proven experience in managing teams of 40+, particularly in professional services environments
  • Proven track record of effectively overseeing and improving shared service operations
  • Experience in smoothly transitioning services, ensuring minimal disruptions and optimal efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability in achieving performance improvements in shared services through strategic initiatives
  • Proficient in end-to-end process management, ensuring comprehensive oversight of operational workflows
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex ideas
  • Highly competent in using Microsoft desktop productivity tools
  • Demonstrable strong business and commercial acumen
  • Experience in strategic and tactical planning and execution
  • Ability to think strategically and provide valuable advice on complex matters
  • Fluent in English (C1 level), with proficiency in other languages considered a benefit
  • Skilled in managing people and resources to achieve desired results
  • Desire to work in a service-oriented environment, with a deep understanding of customer-centric organizations
  • Strong influencing skills at all levels, inspiring confidence in proposals
  • Inclusive team player with a collaborative style, sensitive to team dynamics and stakeholder needs
  • Good communicator at all levels within the organization
