- Lead end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities across the globe.
- To supervise and assist the team to ensure all payroll deadlines are met and looking to continuously improve what is an already efficient process to provide a higher quality service.
- Overseeing and processing monthly payrolls including, general data input, starters, leavers, transfers, unpaid leave, permanent data changes, timesheets, pay reviews, overtime payments, deductions, taxes etc.
- Providing advice and researching payroll legislative matters as required.
- To support and actively contribute to new initiatives affecting payroll.
- Data imports and exports to and from payroll software.
- Understanding how our ERP is set up and configured to generate gross pay to be able to assist/advise the payroll systems accountant as required.
- Ensuring payroll software is updated for any new payment types or flexible benefits.
- Liaising with HR and coordinating data to and from payroll and flexible benefits providers.
- Administration of payroll data records and data files for the pensioners.
- Dealing with payroll queries producing reports as required, including national statistical returns.
- Ensuring payroll procedures are documented and kept up to date for all processes.
- Manage and build relationships with all key stakeholders (internal and external) within a complex business environment across multiple geographies to fulfil SLA deliverables.
- Provide effective people leadership through coaching, feedback, and sound performance management practices.
- Assist with internal or external audits.
- Dealing with ad hoc queries/requests.
- Experienced MBA/M.Com/PGDM Qualified
- Current or recent experience in processing a high-volume monthly payroll.
- Supervisory Experience
- Proven team management skills, with the ability to direct, encourage, support, and motivate.
- Experience working in a shared service environment and managing senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to transcend between strategic thinking and operational excellence with a focus on quality, control and execution.
- Strong analytical ability with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
- Willingness to undertake business travel as required around or outside India.
- Flexibility to work longer hours at peak times as required.
- Self-starter and ability to take initiative in other roles.
