Reporting directly to the Director Digital Ecosystem in DDIT Operations Data & Analytics DS& AI, this role is responsible to perform the necessary leadership, facilitation, analysis, end to end solution architecture, design tasks related to the development of any application/product in the Data & Analytics DS & AI area; including Big Data and AA area.

Primary responsibilities are to establish:

• Prepares end to end solution architecture for use cases based on enterprise architecture and integration patterns
• Guides use case team leads and solution designers during all stages of implementation
• Brings a customer mindset to requirements review and architecture design sessions.
• Technical reviewer and approver of use case solution architectures for Industry best practices and compliance to Novartis guidelines.
• Support troubleshooting use case teams for technical blockers
• Collaborate with peers in building Novartis library of reference architectures and patterns

Other responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with peer platform and enterprise architecture teams on roadmaps and guidelines
• Collaborate with delivery teams on technology changes via quarterly workshops
• Collaborate with peer teams on bringing requirements from use case teams in the form of new capability requests to platform teams.

Education & Qualifications

• University degree in Information Systems or comparable education, experience or equivalent.

Experience

• 10+ years IT experience, predominantly in providing services in End-to-end Solution Architecture
• 5+ years in Analytics / Big Data experience, proven skills & experience in solution architecture
• Sound Experience in working in an Analytics / Big Data tools including SQL based (Snowflake), Spark based (Databricks) environments and visualization solutions (Qlik Sense)
• Sound Experience with Cloud Service Provider technologies (especially AWS).
• Experience working with DevOps tools and familiar with SW lifecycle management.
• Good level of expertise in Advanced Analytics Technologies (especially Data Engineering and system integration, including performance tuning and sizing).
• Familiar with Service Oriented Architecture, containerization and serverless architectures.
• Good knowledge of applications in a Data integration and Big Data environment.
• Familiarity with concepts of data and system security and compliance in highly regulated environments
